Mostly internet coz it's so hot for promos, redeye, juno, and sometimes chemical. Locally, Eat the Beat, get all the promos everyone else gets and well friendly.

Eat the Beat is also ridiculously close to where you live  Angry I have to pay for parking in the city centre if I want to go there, which is a little bit annoying.

My main source for records is Rooted as well though.  I don't go in there often enough though so I miss most of the promos.

yeah, i'm not too keen on promos anymore, unless i REALLY *neeD* the tune, i always want the full release and 7-8 for a single is quite  alot to pay, as you probably wont get more than 2 quid for the promo when u sell it off...

I usually go to Replay or Imperial (2nd hand).

Not very good, but Gloucester road is too far for a lazy student, but I might try an expedition at some point.

No point for me to get new promos, I can wait, and I don't play out.

Aaaah ya dyam fool.

Rooted is the place to go. Every since the day i came to Bristol i've been shopping in there. Jamie has done me many a good turn.

If ya a regular cust he'll sort ya at least 50p off all singles and a hell of a lot more off albums, as well as sort you the promos.

Such a blatant insult against Jamie is just not needed.Tongue

well said mark...

I buy pretty much everything from Rooted or Prime Cuts. Not sure Prime Cuts is too good for you junglists but it's an awesome shop for picking up really old tunes or records with wicked samples on them.

Get most of mine from Imperial - I think its better on the whole than Replay. Rooted is alas too far but Im thinking of stopping of today to check it out properly!!!  Other than that its Redeye for me everytime. Cant fault them really on service and price etc. Might not get all the promos but it aint the end of the world if you ask me!!

I can fault Redeye!  I ordered tunes which were on the website and when they were delivered, two were missing, I wasn't charged for them, but there was a note saying they were out of stock....  Bah, I thought I'd got Travel in Silence and Mysteries of Funk on the cheap..

'part from that, it's OK.

PS, Leba, just seen the posters, see you at junglesoc, what type of DnB so you play?

I do get some tunes from Redeye as well... But i like the dusty fingers aspect too, digging crates and interacting with people, picking up the flyers... for some reason i like going to record shops and listen to the tunes properly, not some fuzzy RealAudio link - which usually is broken anyway  Tongue

Chemical are usually too expensive to me.  I generally will not pay more than a 5 for a tune, and most of chemical's site is 5+postage.

I get most of mine from chemicals, as i used live down the road from it. On the net I've only used Juno, good service, cheapish too. Blackmarkets is way to expensive, but u can pick up sum heavy shit in there.

I get my dancehall from genesis, and Switch1 no they dont do d'n'b .

Where is imperial?

Yo it has to be Blackmarket Records in London - will provide you with any tune - no matter how sick it is - worth the ticket price to London just to check it out ESPECIALLY since the expansion - just make sure you watch your head when going down to the bassment!

True but the general price of vinyls seems to be going up everywhere (including the interent) also very friendly service and many exclusives available!
