So, it's been a busy Sunday. And, with a draw of breathe, my tune for Hijack is done. It's called We're Alright..., and, I hope, encompasses what I feel the board is about. There's a real lively element to it, capturing the jazzier, smoother element that is so loved alongside some twisted undertones for the gurners out there! And I also think it has a nice summer feel to it, the jazzy b-line and rolling drums taking u along nicely. Done in a day, am really pleased with it and it's just a dedication to the board - we're alright, and things are looking up. PM www.hubba.com/powdermonkeyShit am I caned. Forgot to add that I haven't chosen to use any sent in samples, not that any were in such a short space of time, but would be interested in using ure sounds for future projects. And am still looking for a "Hijack" sample...

This tune is wicked mate, it starts wiv some real nice synths with a nice reverb on it, thisis shortly followed with a miniature build up which falls into the beat. Later on, a niiiiiiiiiice second beat drops, which keeps the tune individual, rather than a clone of everything else that is out there. Then Powder Monkey has stumbled across a wicked sample, of a bloke shouting 'Its alrrrrrright'. Killer. The bass guitar, together with the beats make for a wicked tune mate. Well done.

Yeah PM, the hijack tune is cute, I like how the synth persists, it's bouncy! Certainly captures the nice friendly atmosphere of Hijack.
Keep 'em coming mate, do you use Logic and Reason?
Peace, L

Cheers lata - yeah, i think it works well - good and summery but still hard enough for those that need it!
Using just reason at the mo and nothing else, so shows what can be done. Am working on a new tune at the mo, can assure it's sounding phaaaaat - very roni!
U produce?
Nice.

I jus went round a mate of mines, and he is using Logic Audio 5. Its properly phat, and the quality of sounds and beats is outstanding, he has jus had a release, and its upmost quality.
How come you dont use Logic PM?

Mainly cos i only have 64mb of ram!! As soon as im upgraded i know the people who can help me out and it will be on my comp along with reaktor, absynth etc. Just downloaded an old synth prog i used to fuck about with at uni called Orangator and it creates some truly filthy noises. "Horrorshow" is nearly finished, and then you'll find out. PM
