Hidden Orchestra are the newest signing to the much respected Tru Thoughts Label and we’re proud to bring them to the city for the first time, as part of their extensive UK tour. Their debut album ‘Night Walks’ is an intense and rewarding listening experience and is gaining critical acclaim all over. The band have previously supported the likes of Aim, Bonobo, Gilles Peterson, Jaga Jazzist, The Bays, Aaron Jerome and have just been commisioned to provide the soundtrack to the sequel of Francis Ford Coppolas first film – ‘Koyaanisqatsi’ The lineup includes two live drummers, violin, keys, live samples and bass. This is going to be very special! For all info on the act - http://www.hiddenorchestra.com/Local support comes from Substatic and Lumen. Substatic need little introduction. The local trio are known for their electrifying live sets, sultry vocals and heavy production, they are a sure fire bet to get any crowd nicely warmed up. http://www.myspace.com/substaticOnly the second live outing for our own Lumen, usually responsible for the visuals at our nights and many across the city. He brings soulful samples, deep atmospherics and the obligatory sub bass and beats. After a well received set at Brisfest, he should set the tone nicely. http://www.facebook.com/lumenAVAll for a bargain price. £4 in adv £5 on the door. Tickets available online and instore @ http://www.bristolticketshop.co.uk/

I feasted on their youtube bits & pieces last eve - really really looking forward to this live, I've had the Joe A mix on repeat, nice accompaniment to the apocalyptic weather conditions - there's a downloadable version here in case of interested parties: http://www.parisdjs.com/index.php/post/Hidden-Orchestra-Footsteps-Promo-Mix nice one for bringing them here

I certainly will - on vinyl if at all possible. incidentally I just got the free track and I was only too delighted to provide my email address so that they can keep me up to date with new releases etc. Honestly cannot fathom what some people have against it!

Amazing. The drum work was on another level. It was like Cinematic Orchestra and Tool combined. Beautiful stuff. Really nice to see Wolf's packed out too. The Drawn boys deserve it after some of the awesome music they have booked for their nights in the past. Also, I bumped into Pancho from Dirty Sanchez; he was hammered. And small. Big ups to all involved.

Yeahh!! How good was that? Epic, beautiful and groovy as hell! Proper nice guys, too! They’ve got some big things on the way.. keep an eye on them. Big smiles in the Drawn camp, massive shouts to all who came down, was a tight fit at wolfs but wicked vibes as always! Until next time…

What's amazing is how humble they all were about it. Was chatting to one of the guys after the show and it really felt like it meant a lot to them to get such a great reaction. Well done Bristol and the Drawn guys
