You guys were amazing in the Mad Hatters stuff - I think you were next door to us.

I still feel proper rough and even looking at photos is making me retch slightly - especially Dan on the loo  Smashed

Salt n pepper were the highlight for me. Ms Dynamite too. Most of the Subloaded stuff as well. MJ Cole was rubbish and I should have thrown cakes at him like he deserved after cakegate!!

I can see why Munkee would make anyone's festival 10x better, pure entertainment

Cheers.  The general level of comedy entertainment was off the hook, I laughed so much I fell over and puked at various points over the weekend.  Especially when Thomson convinced me I was 'The Moon'.

Musical highlights were Luke's Anger new live hardware set, NoYeahNo knocking out some maximum whompage bangers, Mixmaster Mike's huge party scratch up set, and Derrick May closing with some lush techno.  Surgeon was also honking, but the 2 'ballerinas' dancing on stage reminded me of the witch from Willow the Wisp doing some menopausal rainbow rhythms and was doing my head in.

Less impressed with Grandmaster Flash apparently playing a 'Thats What I Call Mega Hip Hop Anthems 34' CD and chatting shit over the top, and Model 500 putting a dampener on their wicked tunes by banging on about inventing techno and detailing full year of release, cat number etc between each track.

Epic weekend all round; great mates, new friends, banging tunes and top quality booze and 'additionals'.  Textbook  Cheesy

You guys are crazy. Model 500 were one of the best things throughout the entire weekend! And regarding them banging on about them inventing techno... Juan Atkins did! He didn't shout about it all bloody set! It was just one line like "This is where it all started. Metroplex #1! 1985!" Compare that to Wiley saying "ollie ollie ollie, oi oi oi" about ten times in ten minutes, and it's not exactly overkill, is it?

Didn't catch him, Ed, but I was told that he was pretty good by a few mates. Very much on the chilled out tip though, I assume. I guess you're either going to find him "nice" or boring. His recent stuff hasn't been doing it for me, really.

Fair fucks, I may have over emebelished somewhat in in my head.  Which was a bit special at that point.  And yes, Wiley is a mooky bellend.

Agree what people saying at MJ Cole too, massive dissapointment: obvious cheddary selection and the mixing was shocking!

Yeah he seemed to be going with what he thought would be crowd pleasers... more of the same dubstep and mainstream tunes we'd been hearing all weekend  Undecided  when really Im guessing he was booked as a bit of a break from the dubstep... some old skool garage would have been fun, although I hear he's playing a lot of house these days  Undecided
But he totally made up for it by being an utter clown  Laugh

Thought the music was pretty tedious all round tbh. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much dullstep, which Bloc now seem to be taking credit for championing from day dot judging by that article in the programme. It's no longer a new sound and isn't it only from last year they have actually been on it?

Salt n Peppa, Mixmaster Mike & Ms Dynamite were the stars of the show from what I can gather. Would have loved to have seen Luke Sanger's set but was working  Embarrassed

Wiley, Grandmaster Flash, Hype, Congo Natty & MJ Cole all disappointed by all accounts  Undecided

But hey...'twasn't about the music for me, it was about the Space Bowl and Black Hole water slides!  Slayer

I generally find more than 10/15 mins of a single subgenre (of almost anything) is too much in one go, unless its all utterly awesome tunes or very cleverly/skillfully performed.
