TIKI The Free Party17th April @ Bluemountain 9pm to 5 am
FREE ENTRY before 10:30, With NUS or facebook attending guestlist, http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=260190657677 3 quid after 10:30, 5 quid after 12
Downstairs: Jungle, Breakcore, Heavy Drum and Bass powered by : JIGSORE SOUNDSYSTEM Parasite Death$ucker Bristol's own legendary Ragga Jungle Breakcore producer and founder of the notorious label Death$ucker Records. When ever I see Parasite I enjoy his set more than the headliner that I came to see, as he's not played Bristol for a while he is a very worthy headliner. If you haven't had a chance to listen to Parasite recently, listen to this epic set at Glade last year: http://dswat.streamlinetrial.co.uk/parasite/downloads/Parasite-Overkill@Glade2009.mp3 http://www.parasite.org.uk/ http://www.myspace.com/parasitexxxxUsedtobecool Bitcrusher London Based Breakcore Duo, well known from their sets at Braindrop http://www.youtube.com/v/MEwNKJ1UbdY http://www.youtube.com/v/6inwUQ75hA4 http://www.youtube.com/v/WXlkyJjmcXohttp://www.usedtobecool.co.uk/ http://www.myspace.com/usedtobecoolPhonemonkeyBitcrusher What would you get if a Phonemonkey typed at a drum machine for an infinite amount of time? The laws of logic dictate that at some point it would produce a barrage of frenetic broken beats, undulating basslines, agitated synths and, very occasionally, a smattering of a pop sensibility. To test this theory a group of scientists took an actual Phonemonkey and put him in a Petri dish with assorted musical devices. The result was a unique strain of weirdcore: equal parts melody and madness, rhythm and randomness. another year where this perfectly lands with jay noms birthday! looking forward to it Yeah Tiki has had it's hiatus, this wasn't deliberate but it will have been a year to the date. Getting some of the smaller details like decore sorted with the night, we will be including backdrops. So Emma I'll put you and Jay on the special guest list if you'll come and take lots of pictures of the night. I'm also go to get all the set recorded. Here is one of my favorate backdrop submissions from James Kemp. If anyone has any drawings that would be good for backdrops let me know. Also, promotors if you need back drops for you night let me know.

If you can go wild with photo's I'll put you on the skip the cue special guestlist. Yeah getting the soundsystems in Bluemountain is a must as the soundsystem in there isn't great. We already know Jigsore is a killer system, but Neverlution is a really bassy system so it will be perfect for the Gonzo crew. Looking for someone to play steel drums outside. Any one know anyone? ?

I enquired at Blue Mountain before about a gig and they weren't up for people bringing in their own sound, for a reason I now can't remember at all. Good to see they've changed that buzz! The bins made by the neverlution lot will blast that place down.. And the stasys x.. Don't need to say anything there really

Very excited about the bitcrusher pairing of usedtobecool and phonemonkey. (first gigs in Bristol?) plus all that extra sound... I fear an eardrum bashing.

Yeah IS going to be heavy with that extra sound, but Helix is a really good sound engineer, so we'll be opting for sound quality over loudness.

So We've booked the NOISEY PARKER
If you don't recognize some of the Gonzo guys, it's because they run the underground scene in Leeds! So we are very lucky to have them all down!

Indeed two days to go! Don't forget peeps we've got The Cameltoes (Bristol's Raunchiest Dancers) there all night for the GONZO room (and Eraserheads set). 9 extremely hot dancers, that intend to shock you. Trust me this night will not disappoint, we have made sure there is some for everyone. Genre wise we've ticked every box... Even the Funk Box... (yes that is cryptic, check out Prod) This one is for the Love!

Catlady, the dancers are there to keep the place lively. Maybe I should not have called them dancers, that makes you think of serious arrogant girls that love themselves...
They are more live Raver Crew Motivators! Seriously these girls are just loads of fun!
I wouldn't just have them there for the guys to off on. Don't think anyone involved in this event is in it for the money...
I was actually hoping to get you to take some picture of them in action, so I'm a bit gutted you object, but see what you think on the night.
I would be surprised if you don't already know at least one of them.
