I think this nu east london movement is quite cool. You know, Wiley, Shystie, Dizzie, that big beat stuff.

Maybe someone should get some of them up to brizzle for a one off grime session?  Slayer

i'm sure that this thread mite get me some abuse, but i like it and i don't care.  Bad Teeth

I heard a few tracks off the Plasticman/Mark One album the other day. All ive heard apart from that is Dizzee and Wiley. Quite like what i've heard so far, but would need to hear more to form a concrete opinion.

I'm digging Mark One, Plasticman, Slaughta Mob (Saddam  Slayer), Search & Destroy, Menta, Vex'd, Ras Kwane (Spanish Fly  Slayer), and some other shizzle I forget (some tune by Shimano?). Oh yeah, and I'm feeling a lot of Horsepower's stuff, and Pinch played a wicked dub by Random Trio at the first Hijack night.   Slayer

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing where this all leads, gonna be good.  Two Thumbs

Yeah that plate rules - far beefier than the stuff off the rephlex album (although that stuff is also good, just doesn't kick as much...)

Good God no!  Shocked

Run a search for 'dubstep' or 'grime', you're in good company round these parts (as you can probably tell from all the posts before this one).  Smiley

WARNING!!!!!!

Wiley's album is literally the laziest, shittest, half-arsed hour of filler i've ever heard.

It sells on the back of "what you call it", but it's just someone dicking around with the same synth presets on every tune with no decent structure & without a single other good tune on the whole thing!!!! Same goes for Dizee's album. People thought the whole thing'd be as innovative as "i luv u", but it's just piss poorly produced & feeble minded. sorry to rant, but i spent money on it damnit!! Then it wins the mercury award  Doh!

Wileys "eski beat" is repetive and boring sometimes, it really does need to be heard in a club with live mc's to create the "brap brap!!" effect.

Catch me layin down a narrrrrsty grime set soon somewhere in the area  Slayer

The guy who does the Grime night is trying to get me to do one here. I'm tempted but like Blazey said quite of the music doesn't really do much. If there are people who are doing things a bit more fucked up I'd like to know.

PS - Diccon I haven't thanked you for that cdr yet, cheers mate. Canne find the track listing at the moment 4,5 & 6 were pretty good but on the whole I could do with things being more fucked in the head.

Watch out for some big tings to happen very soon on the Bristol Grime Circuit.

 OMG Death Star!!!11

A "violent and controlling" grime artist falsely imprisoned and raped four women, a court has heard.

Andy Anokye, 31, known as Solo 45, is accused of violently treating, bullying and sexually abusing his victims over a two-year period.

On the first day of his trial at Bristol Crown Court, he was described as a narcissist "who derives satisfaction and sexual pleasure from inflicting pain and suffering".
