Surgeon was wicked at Emergency last year, shame I missed him at Glade. Did have a chat with the feller though as he was watching Vex'd from back stage at the Overkill tent.

The Amen Break

 Laugh

Thought this was rinsed a bit too much during his set at Emergency!!

Still rocked it hard though, love the way he mixes up stuff like Monolake and Rhythm & Sound within a harder techno set, just doesn't always need the Amen Break thrown in for good measure IMO

For anyone who likes this and missed it the first time round, you can also download the set he played at !emergency! last year:

http://spannered.org/mixes/surgeon/surgeon_emergency_oct05.mp3

Don't know which one I prefer, they're both beefy as fuck. Enjoy  Wink

Just seen this - noice one.

Saw his whole set at Glade - was fucking brilliant but the system for both him and Kevin Saunderson was too damn quiet!

Innit just?
Thee was one point during Kevin Saunderson when they seemed to turn it up to a reasonable level and the whole fucking place went off.  Then it went down again  Sad
This is one of my major gripes iwth the Glade; the sound levels (bar Sancho Panza) were laughable.  It doesn't have to make your ears bleed but some fucking BASS would be nice.

The whole 'Quite Rig' thing is winding me up more and more at festivals, I had Bad Religion Ruined at Reading last year cos they wouldn't turn it up, then most of the stages at the glade, especially the Breaks stage didn't hold my interest cos they wern't loud enough (The only one that cut the mustard was Sancho Panza).

It's like toture, look how good this could sound if we just turned it up a Leettle bit more!
