We are immensely pleased to see the magnificent DJ C back in Bristol rocking it. Anyone who saw him perform at Toxic last year or have listened to his mixes on Mashit know what a badman he is. The first lady of mashup DJ Ripley will be joining him and we present a Bristol debut for the wonderful Kid Kameleon. Support in the main room comes from the many from the old Toxic Dancehall camp - tis a bit of a reunion for us all what with Bruna and Uberdog being back in the country for a short time only (taking a break from their "hard life" in Sao Paolo!).

Room 2 sees another old Toxic face in the form of Warlock - he and his fuckstep goodies will be sorting the grind upstairs along with plentiful familiar faces on the decks. Expect some fun antics on the balcony too but you'll just have to wait and see what that'll be. Visuals, decor, intelligent lighting and a BEASTY RIG (Dissident or Prank - I don't think we've decided yet) will complete the picture.

though it's surroundings & scale disguise it somewhat

I was looking for a picture of that antenna so I could put it in that rather than in crater lake but couldnt find a nice hi-res one.

The back is a bit kinder on the eye contrast-wise than the front. I also believe that the flyer as a whole needs more chav clowns getting gunned down, it's been too long.

DJ C continues to drop his mashed up mix of hip-hop, bashment, grime, bounce, jungle, rock, folk, bhangra, dub-step and just about everything else at parties, clubs, and events worldwide.

In 2003 he began the Mashit record label with a 12-inch featuring one of his rough-and-rugged-ragga tracks along-side an Aaron Spectre remix. It sold out within weeks of its release. The next 5 Mashit 12-inches also featured DJ C material, and they've been killing dance-floors and airwaves across the globe. Legendary BBC Radio One host John Peel (R.I.P.) chose Mashit as a "label of the month" in October 2004. The records have also been receiving airplay on other BBC shows, in
addition to shows on London's Resonance FM, and Ninja Tune's syndicated Solid Steel show.

He's been hard at work producing beats and remixes for other labels as well. His mix of the M.I.A. tune U.R.A.Q.T., was released on her Galang '05 single by XL Recordings, and his mixes of the tune Gone A Jail, by reggae legend Gregory Isaacs, were recently released on Kid 606s Tigerbeat6 sub-label Shockout.

Now he joins Death$ucker for a solid 3 track EP of what can only be discribed as Boston-bounce, a style pioneered by DJ C himself (a definition of which can be found at The Riddim Method). The A side features the politically charged Ransom The Senator, which features lyrics and vocals by Zulu, and a dub / instrumental version of the same track. The B side features the highly addictive and extremely bouncy Nuttin Attall which DJ C has been dropping in his sets, to great crowd satisfaction, since his live set at Toxic Dancehall in the summer of 2005.

Cut in the UK for maximum dance floor pressure!

mmm listening to the a side at the moment. i love dj c too, but the production isn't actually all that good on this, i'm unconvinced.
