Look, enough people took it on board, made the effort to understand and changed their behaviour because of it. I've had loads of conversations with people who've gone "Oh yeah I never thought about it that way - I'll stop doing it." It's nothing to do with moral highground - it's to do with pointing out a linguistic anomaly that's been hanging around for a while and asking people to think about it. You think I'm a hypocrite because you're either unwilling to think it through or too stupid to question the prejudice embedded in your own language.

Either way, I've left you (and others) alone about the whole thing for weeks now as I can't be bothered any more - some people change, some don't. The people I count amongst my friends have the decency to question their opinions and the intelligence and humility to admit when something is wrong. Frankly Carly, I'm past caring what you think.
