Yep - another NOFX fan here. Used to be really into them a good few years back..
Punk In Drublic, Heavy Petting Zoo, and So Long... are all amazing albums. Haven't heard any of the newer stuff but I'm sure they're still doing their thing!

I am fairly certain there is some kind of correlation between listening to ska and punk in your teens and drum and bass later on.

Idiot Son of an Asshole is a classic. As is leave it alone. I was saddened at my first Reading Festival appearance that they cancelled. But saw them there a few years ago. And the world sleeps better now.

Well, I was going to throw Good Riddance into the mix this morning, but my copy of 'Ballads from the Revolution' seems to have gone AWOL, so that'll have to wait. The Misfits will do in their place!

yes yes yes, i'm guilty as the rest of you, used to be (still am a lot of the time) well into my new skool punk stuff.
Snuff - Demmamussabebonk NOFX - Punk in Drublic, Ribbed, and So Long! (best song is the last one: falling in love) Propagandhi - Tommorows Empires (Genius!) Guns and Wankers (old members from Snuff)
in fact the drummer/singer/songwriter from snuff is playing at the croft with his new band (billy no mates) in a few weeks, they play loads of guns and wankers songs.

i was also a proper NOFX kiddy when i was younger. remember seeing them play Astoria in 96 and getting fully crushed against the front railings for most of the gig best albums : Punk in Drublic, White Trash..., Ribbed, and The Longest Line EP (was a proper anthem amongst my angsty teenage peers)

I haven't heard their latest album. I shall download it now and check it out. Sure it's still gonna be fairly decent - nowhere near the old stuff but not bad by any means.... or did they totally jump the shark?

The two songs I heard were pretty much the opposite of being good. Download Ghost Ship by The Sultans instead, it's much better. Not that it's anything like NOFX.

I was well into NOFX in my teens...punk in drublic is the album, but i like the live album cos of all the cracks inbetween the songs. snuff, screeching weasel and the vandals are also good - not sure why people continue to listen to bands like this following the passing of their adolescence tho; Scope for progression within the genre is non existent, 'funny' songs and covers soon get old and it all sounds the bloody same.
I agree with the whole punk to dnb thing - ive often thought that some dnb is practically heavy metal.

Punk in drublic is the best of their albums, but other early stuff i'd go for, havn't really heard the 12 7" releases, but didn't like war on errorism... I do realise my brother has the entire back-catalogue for NOFX, but i havn't got any on my ipod!
