Ez people!

Whats poppin?

So we are a night that has recently moved to Bristol from Plymouth, mainly concentrating on UK hip-hop, however when we get a call from the US we do try and take em! We are all about helping scenes grow and brining the best hip-hop we can find to our nights! We have our 1st night at the Tunnels this coming tuesday and then we have another night in Nov at lakota where we will be doing Hip-hop/DnB/Dubstep & Jungle. Hopefully the 1st of many!

So if you wanna see anyone in particular let us know and we shall see what we can do!

Peace!

Hello and all that.

I'm Alex and I occasionally dj around Bristol - mainly dodgy psych, prog, rock, odd european stuff, bollywood bits, new wave-ey stuff, post punk etc.
I may get round to shoving a mix up in the relevant section, but I so far failed to do so on the other music forum I post on!  Embarrassed

I used to do Special Wednesday at the Tube and Accordion/SmallRecords at Start The Bus if anyone ever made it along to those.

Anyway, cheers yeah?

I am Luke, 25.

I have loved music as long as I have been aware, I learned the guitar when I was younger and found computer based music making when I started A level college.  I have done a few jobs in the industry from recording engineer to roadie..  I also enjoy making films and taking photographs

genres: Afrobeat, Reggae, Dub, Roots, DnB, the odd bit of house, Dubstep, some guitar music and am always a fan of the great classical composers.  A bit of live samba is also a welcome treat.

thats all for now,

Hi!

My name is Dave. I've been directed by a James Allen (if ya know him) to this forum for a little bit of networking.

I'm mainly into Metal and Hip Hop but enjoy al sorts of other things like Drum n' Bass, and the odd bit of Tori Amos here and there.

I'm based in Huddersfield but am looking for Bristol based promoters. I'm the UK booking agent for US-based Hip Hoppers Radix, and am currently looking to get them a show in Bristol between 1st and 12th Jan.

If you can help, or know someone who can, hit me up!

hey we're Lamb Skank, thank god we found a decent Bristol music forum. Theres two of us in Lamb Skank, and we play the uni scene really. Play Thekla, Basement 45 ,Timbuk2, Bar Bijou, and UWE SU. Running a night at Timbuk2 starting Wednesday 2nd Feb, called CRAVE, will be a crazy party, playing a lot of genres really, but our main line of music stems from house, electro and electro swing, not dubstep and D'n'B as we feel the is too full in Bristol, and that House needs more of a shout Cheesy. check out our page, and if you have any suggestions to improve our night, or want to play just ask Cheesy

Hello there, my name is Alex Taylor and I am a classical violin teacher (BMus, Hons) with over 14 years teaching all ages from beginner to advanced. I have been improvising celtic, gypsy & jazz styles with bands since 1998 and enjoyed touring and recording with international artists. I now perform and compose for Bristol-based, gypsy dub-step band 'Innamorati' (http://www.myspace.com/innamorati).

In addition to classical violin, I share my knowledge of improvisation and songwriting to assist students to play and compose music for bands. Casual rates for lessons are £25 per hour (£20 concession) or £100 for five paid in advance.

Hi Salvonia

Not sure if this is the best board for you tbh. peeps round here tend to prefer electronic gadgets with a play button rather than instruments. That said your best off putting a thread in the main forum and bumping every now and again. No one really reads this bit.

Best of luck.
