There has been talk of new and old stuff from BOC for ages.  There was a rumour that Warp were going to officially release the older unreleased cassette material as a box set and now this - but I would not be surprised if a new album is imminent.

Well, if it is, let's hope they do shows. Although I very much doubt it  Undecided

I've heard they do them very rarely, but usually in really obscure places. How much truth there is in that, I'm not sure.

Good interview in 'The Wire' back in 2005:

Couldn't find a digital version of the interview but here are some scans:

They have done a few live shows, but nothing for a long time, I suppose it's all part of their mystery?   They used to hold "red moon " parties in northen Scotland playing  their tunes around campfires in the dead of night, must of been well trippy...

Check them out here live for Warp's 10 year party...  Sounds like dubstep 5 years before..

This is true, unless it was remastered with some new remixes or material chucked in for good measure.  I love the old tunes, they are excellent -  proper trippy.

Apparently one of the original cassettes from A Few Old Tunes tuned up on ebay, the seller wanted stupid money for it.  It got pulled from ebay by I believe the bands request as they were originally only made to be given away to friends, then there was talk about Warp releasing all of the old material as a box set and then nothing.

I hope that the news of a new release is true.

I can confirm that they might release a new album soon.

New Clark, Pusher and Mr76ix should suffice.
