I know there have been umpteen threads about this but the search function is not my friend

Some lovely person spilt rum and coke into my DJM600 and I need to get it fixed.

Before I sell a kidney and send it off to Videotek has anyone managed to get something like this fixed in Bristol?

Have emailed Stage Electrics but they don't want to know.

I've fixed an amp that had beer spilt over it once. Horrid. First you have to scrub all the PCB clean to get all the remnants of the drink off. Then if you are lucky it's just something on the power supply side that has burned. But could be anything as everything gets shorted so badly. The amp I did has resistors burned all over the shop. If I were you I'd take a look inside myself and size up the job. It could cost you so much in repairs it would be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand or even a new one. 50 for a looky is a piss take. Sounds like they aren't even interested and are covering their time before telling you it's fooked.
