Any one on here get them? I've started having them recently - except the headache is never as bad as I think it's supposed to be with proper ones. I just get the photosensitivity/occasional aura, and the horrible feeling, along with a slight headache.

They are really annoying.

Yes, I get them in my right eye, sometimes once a week sometimes once a month. I have found that one paracetamol and one ibuprofen can help, but not always. I blame my workplace.

Irritating. Does that help with the visual stuff and the rest of it too, or just the pain?

I don't tend to get the visual problems, just the pain. The pills make the pain go away, mostly...

Same, maybe. Check the last few posts of this thread http://www.hijackbristol.co.uk/board/the-forum/sudden-awareness-of-reality/

I don't ever get the full blown headache but my thought pattern changes for a day or so afterwards and I get what called 'optical migraines'. The last one was a few weeks ago when no breakfast, strong coffee, a bad nights sleep a pending assignment deadline.

The visual disturbance starts after one blink, as soon as i see it I know whats coming and either neck a Pink Migraleave or drop what i'm doing and go and buy some. The visuals last for about 45-60 mins. at first it's my centre vision then it expands out. I can't drive or look at a screen or anything, thankfully I don't get sick either.

The pink migraleave contains buclazine and codine which essentially chill me out so when the visuals stop it stops me thinking about what happened. I Feel right odd for a while afterwards. As far as I am aware nothing stops the visuals. I even tried triptans (sp?) but they gave my heart palputations and I thought I was having a stroke. As I understand it they treat the headache not the visuals.

I go through fazes of really bad ones. Seems to be effected by weather changes (change in pressure). Also recon its also due to the fact I never wear my glasses and havnt had a test for ages lol... need to book one really!  NERD ALERT!

I've had migraines twice in my time, fucking horrible things. I got prescribed a pill you can take which will kill a migraine on the spot about 50% of the time, called sumotriptan. Never wound up using it as my second eppy was after smashing the base of my skull on ice in France.

I've had a 5 or 6 in my life...generally get a mad aura/fuzzy blind spot then an intense headache and nausea (similar to 1984)

Always been recommended Migraleave but never have any nearby when I get a migraine.
