Does hijack have an events calendar? One of the most asked questions on hijack (and subject of much piss-taking). An official calendar has been a loooooooooong time in the making, but
Codlife has taken the task upon himself and produced a fantastic "unofficial" calendar.

http://imgur.com/ or another hosting service. The URL of the pic will then need to be put between img tags like so:
[img]image url goes here[/img]
If you want to resize an image, you can specify the size in the img tags like so:
[img width=200 height=400] image url here [/img]
How do I embed a youtube video in my post? The URL of the youtube video needs to be changed from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu_moia-oVI to
http://www.youtube.com/v/Yu_moia-oVI by deleting the "watch?" and replacing the "=" with a "/"
It should then be put between flash tags like so:
[flash=375,300] http://www.youtube.com/v/Yu_moia-oVI[/flash]

How do I make a URL into text? Want to insert a URL, but have it appear as text like
THIS?
Use URL tags, as shown below:
[url=www.hijackbristol.co.uk]THIS[/url]
A URL I posted doesn’t link properly! Hijack’s hyperlinking doesn’t like exclamation marks. If your link has one in, it won’t work. You’ll need to insert it between URL tags like so:
[url]www.hijackbristol.co.uk/board/the-forum/wtf-is-going-on!-my-link-wont-work[/url]
How do I contact a moderator? If you wish to complain about a post or thread, using the “report to moderator” option at the bottom of each post will solicit the quickest response. Otherwise dictator supreme, head-honcho and the man behind all the technical stuff on hijack is

Are there any forum rules? Show other Hijackers nothing but big love! All board discussions ought to be carried out by reading posts carefully and treating other users with respect. Verbal abuse, harassment, slander against anyone etc. will not be tolerated.
TROLLING or FLAMING other hijackers will result in a user / ip permanent ban If you are posting a link to a web site or image that is not safe for people to view at work (or will be tasteless or offensive to some people), then please mark it
"Not Safe For Work/NSFW" in the title.

HERE, but needless to say the posting of such images will not be tolerated.
Please do not create multiple threads advertising the same night. If you do this, the newer thread will be deleted. Use the search function to find the original thread. General common sense and courtesy are the key here.
If starting a new thread it’s also a good idea to do a search before posting to see if it’s been posted before. This isn’t a rule per say, but will stop your thread being shot down with “repost!!!!1111”. The search function has been improved, but isn’t perfect. Using the
advanced search function denoted by the
symbol next to the search box helps to filter your results.
Why do people put 
at the end of their posts? Hijack is full of sarcastic, piss-taking people.
is sometimes used to indicate that what has been written is intended to be funny and should not be taken literally. However
is the internet equivalent of holding your hands up & shouting JOKE immediately after saying something and has been abandoned by many. Take what is posted with a pinch of salt and you’ll get along fine.
Why do people put 
in their posts is used when you are agreeing with the content of a previous post.
