No mention of GTA yet - too many fathers on here now I want it. There I said it. But the complications of getting it are too much of a PITA.

Still not got it yet.
I keep thinking about it, but I'm just not that fussed at the moment. The last one was such a let down, that it has put me off a bit.

I thought this was a very nice looking game, with an interesting storyline, but not as amazing as many reviews painted it. It is pretty much a zombie shooter with some nice touches.

Bit late to the party here, but I picked up The Witcher 2 today and I am very impressed so far - really fun yet challenging whack 'n' dodge Arkham City-esque combat and absolutely stunning graphics.

Anyone else in on the Elder Scrolls Online beta? I have just been invited to join in for the coming weekend - pretty excited to see what's going down.

Civilisation 3-5 on humble bundle Best value for money you'll ever find I've just bought the lot for $15 - I only needed the last DLC for V. I've decided to give it another good go.

Anyone on dayZ? After a couple of days playing where I just died of starvation repeatedly, I now have a rucksack full of supplies. Only a matter of time before some cunt with a gun ties me up, feeds me bleach and nicks the lot though...

Anyone caught the Deliverance hype?
"Dungeons and no dragons"
15th century open word, real world accurate RPG.
Start out as a blacksmith.

Buy Mount and Blade for pennies, then download one of the thousands of mods when you get bored of the vanilla game to get you in the mood.

Start with Civ 5 mate. I personally LOVE 5 much more than 4. Far more tactical in the warfare department. But really, just play and play and play. It is without doubt my favourite game ever.

I'd start vanilla and play a few games of that first - try and hold back on the expansions for as long as you can to really drag that enjoyment out

Tempting.
A bit of spaced based pew pew could make a nice change from epic RPGs.
Metal gear rising revengence is a lot of slash slash button mashing fun

Witcher 3 delayed Release Date of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – An Open Letter
Ever since we started working on the third installment in The Witcher franchise, it has been our aim to produce a title that would take our 11 years of experience in creating RPGS and distill them into a quintessence, into a game that would effectively crown those years. At the same time, we have wanted The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to expand creative boundaries, set new benchmarks, develop the genre as a whole. Ultimately, you, the players, must get an unforgettable adventure to experience in a vast, open world – and that’s most important. We’ve created a story that flows naturally, cinematically, rendered it in amazing sound and visuals, while preserving full freedom of choice – all for you. We knew this to be an ambitious plan, but believed we could achieve it by bringing together our team with its creative energies and current gaming platforms with their technical capabilities. A project this vast and complex would inevitably require special care in its final stages, manual fine-tuning of many details, thorough testing time and again.
We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015.
Dear gamers - we know many of you would have liked to play The Witcher 3 sooner, as soon as possible, even. We’re sorry to make you wait longer than you, or we, initially assumed you would. At the same time, we believe the game will prove to be worth the wait and meet the expectations you have of us. We believe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be an exceptional RPG, one of the best, providing many hours of wonderful entertainment.
Dear shareholders – we are aware of the responsibility that rests with us and thank you for the trust you have granted us thus far. We firmly believe that quality – more than any other factor – determines a game’s success, and that the decision we have made is thus equally valid in business terms.

I'm enjoying South Park. Not exactly the hardest game in the world, but the visuals are spot on and the comedy is there. Some odd glitches when changing screens and the odd load screen, but it is a nicely put together package.

Need a new PC game. Just finished Far Cry 3 and loved it. Got Civ 5 on the go but it's a bit of a slow burner.
Looking at maybe Rage, Skyrim, Bio Shock or Fallout.
I love FPS and racing games. Not into puzzles or wizards and potions.
Thoughts?

Bat man City is awesome BioSHock infinite is a good story driven one. Metal gear rising revengence for slash slash Skyrim is wizards and potions Fallout vegas, Big time sexyness. If you have a decent rig find a few of the mods to push the draw distance. Grid2 is fun semi serious driving game Need for speed most wanted was surpirsing fun. I didn't finish it but it took a while to get bored of it.

Atmospheric awesomeness. I couldn't get into Rage for some reason. If you are anywhere near Cotham Brow you can have it for free! Just got me a second GPU and I'm running in SLI at 5960 x 1080 on three monitors

Also I will take that Rage off you if it's ok Plod, It's my last day at work tomorrow then I have three weeks off before starting a new job so ideal time to get some new games. Crysis 2 was the first decent game I played on a decent PC rig so it'll always have a special place in my heart. I'll PM ya

I was playing this recently, but it is just another bland (story that is) FPS I think. Pretty much just a corridor shooter in gameplay.

Worse than COD ports. I actually paid almost full price for borderlands2. Again didn't get anywhere near to finishing it. Morro wind and fallout/Vegas were deep and satisfying.

I played it for an hour and then got distracted and never came back That happened to me with Metro. But I got stuck for a game a while back so revisited and I'm glad I did. Same thing with S.T.A.L.K.E.R only I never went back to that one.
