What better way to kick off #BFIBlackStar Bristol with all-star diva-thon Dreamgirls this FRI 21 OCT 8.30pm at Watershed brought to you by Come The Revolution | @cometherev ? Soul Supremes, Britain's answer to Dreamgirls (the only Supremes tribute act in Europe to have got props from Mary Wilson) will kick off with a few numbers pre screening before established soulstress Beyoncé and Oscar®-winning newcomer Jennifer Hudson fight it out for lead vocal in the film...

The Soul Sister No.1 after-party kicks off at 10:45pm with DJ KID SISTER SELECTA (The World is Listening, BCFM) joined by some of the finest emerging and established female voices in Bristol including KIZZY MORELL, "a force of nature who can turn her vocals to jazz, gospel, blues and much, much more” (The Post) also founder of founder of Bristol's premier music school Studio 7 and FARAI MANYONGA, an outstanding talent nurtured by Studio 7.

This is just the first in a season of films, music and comedy dedicated to some of the most magnetic performances ever to grace the cinema screen taking place at Watershed, Colston Hall and Trinity Centre between October and December.
