Jealous! Been babbling about going one year for about 5 years now. I've highlighted everyone I would attempt to see, but the fact is they're pretty much all just the people I've heard of, so my bet would be that everyone is probably pretty good. They have quite a selective booking policy, no commercial crowd-pleasing here. 2011 Guests include... I have been the last few years, love it there. Really friendly atmosphere, lovely compact site, win win. I would suggest seeing - surgeon for some harder edge stuff, cosmin TRG as he plays quite a variety in his sets, bristol's own Al Tourettes, october, Sven Weisman is always good there, Vince Watson is normally good on a deeper tip, Jeroen Search will be good as well, as is Efdemin shit they are all good in their own way..
the 'resident' are all top notch too…
Expect plenty of deep goodness, i am jealous as i am not going his year..

freerotation is a truely amazing festival that has a real family feeling to it. Everything on that line-up is worth checking out and nothing will disappoint! Shackleton, Sven Wiesemann and October were real highlights last year. Wish i could make it this year too but i just cant afford it

Thanks guys! I think it's the only festival/party I've never heard a bad report on! I had surgeon on my must see list but so looking forward to hearing loads of new music from djs i've never heard of the most. Though as it's my 30th birthday while there I can see myself not remembering all of it

I'm going for the first time too and can't wait!! Heard nothing but good things aswell. All the peoples I'm looking forward to seeing are highlighted above, the rest i don't know so hopefully gonna be an education. Hessle crew obv. and Shackleton was supposed to be off the scale at Bloc. Looking forward to much Deep musics in a mansion! Myself and Freerotation veterans / fellow Hijackers Alex Fata and VJ Mashie are doing some 3D projection mapping in the main room Friday. Should look a bit like: Come say hello

This isn't about this festival, but I did Arumdo at Baskerville Hall a few years ago. It is a nice venue, but it is miles from anywhere (good for a festival!) and the hall is a nice place to have nearby as well. I hope you have good weather for it; it was cold and damp when I was at Arumdo, which was annoying because it was sunny in Bristol that day!
I'm so out of touch with the line up! :oldandoutofit:

Oh my Jesus fuck, that festival was ridiculous. I met one person who had actually paid for their ticket. The main stage got moved into the Hall due to noise complaints... which you couldn't get into without the correct combination of wristbands... nothing was open before about midday and it rained most of the time. Had a fucking wicked time though!

I don't think they sold many tickets, so decided to give them away rather than cancel the festival... I won my tickets, and when I got to the gate to collect them, there was about 6 pages of names that had 'won' a pair of tickets, and I wasn't even on it. I don't think there was anything wrong with the sound, just that it was travelling across the valley. The Spiegel Tent was cool - it's what the Pussy Parlour at Glastonbury is.

Hi Alex, would they have to be a member do you know? As I got a couple of mates who want tickets but aren't members. Let us know.
