I actually feel quite sorry for him now - he's obviously very remorseful, and it must be terrible getting in shit for something you can't remember doing!

I don't see anything wrong with it to be honest.

You're so edgy. Roll Eyes

Oh come on Evs I'm not saying this for effect! I GENUINELY don't see a problem with it, I see it as any other statue or landmark....I can't stand war memorials and poppies....it's just glorification of war in my opinion.

I didnt see this before. But Fuck off.

People died so you can have your pathetic contrary-for-the-sake-of-it bullshit opinions and pissing on a memorial commemorating this is a complete lack of respect (This isnt the same as forcing public figures to wear poppies this is just next level fuckry). I am sure if you dont like war so much at the time you would have backed the policy of appeasing the people brutally and systematically slaughetering millions of people, who given the chance would have taken the freedoms of everyone.

Then again, somone being pissed makes a mistakes and everyone regrets a lot of stuff they do when drunk.

Oh, this again...   Roll Eyes

I can accept being angry with him about the fact he is pissing in public, yeah, not the greatest of things. If however he was pissing on the memorial in broad daylight, whilst sober shouting insults at the soldiers who fought, maybe people would have grounds for getting all pissy (not the best choice of words) about him being 'disrespectful'.

How many of the people who are 'up in arms' about it regularly buy a poppy, regularly visit war memorials, always lay wreaths etc.etc. ?

I appreciate the fact people in the past have taken action that has help preserve certain freedoms we have today - but some of the hate and vitirol I've seen directed towards this bloke is far more disgusting than what he mistakenly, drunkenly, and apologised to the nation for doing.

IMO of course...

clearly everyone is going over the top with way this guy is getting shouted down, but i was more just saying its all well and good being 'anit-war' but stuff like the world wars were unavoidable to fight in at the time and pretty fucking important for the freedoms we have today.

Humans love to hate and love to gang up on others a part of our nature I guess.  It was dumb but a lot of students are Wink  I doubt it had much to do with him not agreeing to any war after the fawklands and possibly the first Iraq war like many of us.  The public in general don't seem to recognise those who have fallen in the wars since on rememberance day tho so guess its all good Wink

What I wanna know is how many of the middle aged daily mail reading inbreds who complained about this have, at least once, gotten caught short on the way back from the pub and completely forgotten that they'd nipped behind a war memorial for a slash to avoid pissing their pants? I'd go as far as betting a million billions pounds that his piss was not the first human piss to splash down on those stones, not by a long shot. Just the first to be photographed. People who are "disgusted" by stuff they see in the media are always oblivious to the fact that it goes on unnoticed all around them every fucking day.

I like how they say "unemployed chef". No, you're just unemployed mate. By that logic I'm still a teenager.

A great example of the diverse views this board had.  Roll Eyes

A full apology at the Remembrance Sunday ceremony would be a good start at showing how "deeply ashamed" he is.
Fucking cunt.

I don't see anything wrong with it to be honest.
