Friday 21st December @ Timbuk2

“The future of the past never sounded more contemporary”.

========================================================

========================================================

REDSHAPE [Present / Berlin] live
No doubt one of the most sought-after producer of the moment, the man-with-a-red-mask has
found a tight little niche for himself somewhere between electro soul and vintage Detroit progressions,
clashing the minimal sounds of Mathew Jonson with Carl Craig's more obtuse output.
Haunting strings, bubbles of bass pulses, burning synthscapes…
Redshape really does appear to be unable to do anything wrong.

============================

DIGITAL SLAVES [RCTC/ Nantes] live visuals
Ds is a team of programmers and graphic designers based in Nantes, France. Regulary designing
stages for festivals and producing large scale installations they can adapt to any environment,
transforming it to create a new visual experience.

============================

SHACKLETON [Skull Disco] live
Affiliated with the Dubstep scene the man doesn’t fit easily in any pigeonhole. Snaking percussion,
hypnotic melodies, seriously deep bass lines and dubwise sensibilities granted him acknowledgement
from wider circles, including Villalobos and Pole. Simply music you have never heard before.

============================

OCTOBER [Caravan] dj set
Long time Cuisine favourite is back again, this time with a first Ep just released on his own Caravan label
and already getting a lot of attention from the International Dj circuit.
Unique, warm, analogue deep organic techno

MEEK.TV live visuals
Meek.tv is the result of a high speed collision between two imaginations, moving images,
some cheap cracker jokes and a large box of crayola. Operating since 2000,
they have built up a reputation for creating musically inspired artwork.

I saw Redshape live at FreeRotation and he blew everyone else out of the water. Shackleton as well - seriously good live! Also very interested to see October after dunc_ has been bigging him up! Nice tings!

Well done guys, you are kicking the arse out of Bristol electronic music!

not quite everything (pretty much everything on staurday night was boss as i remember  Smashed ) but yes he was my highlight - those offkilter loops took me to motherfuckin legoland!

fuzzy pic taken off facebook. apparently he wore the mask from arriving on site to leaving it. i respect a techno artist that takes their anonymity this seriously...

just bfore i saw redshape at freerotation dunc pulled a very unconvincing ":yawn: ive got to drive tomorrow" routine. draw your own conclusions.

@nico - whatever hell the booking agency put you through, its worth it. redshape brand of druggy decadence is strictly for the pagan cenobytes...

hmm yeah that was pretty suspicious behaviour from DG..... although the identity of the dj playing cotton eyed joe to the hereford young farmers association also remains unconfirmed.
