Hola Hijack!

Looking back in the annals of Hijack history tell me 10 years have passed since Grooverider got send down in dubai for a blim of weed on his shoe and a laptop collection of porn. Lata and Basic still posted, Zammo was about to be proved correct-ish with his prediction of a property crash and we were all about to learn a painful lesson about US mortgages.

Hijack hit its peak in October 2008. Shit has changed. It appears wold is still talking to himself though, so no change there. The front page still has threads from November on it.

The reason for this post: what are you up to now? Post counts on this place indicate you're not wasting work time on Hijack so much any more. Have you all grown up with responsibilities and shit? Made your millions selling a web startup and rinsed it on coke & hookers? Most importantly, when did you last go to a nightclub?

I'm now in my forties (sob) and haven't seen the inside of a nightclub for years (unless 6 music festival at motion counts - was in bed before midnight). LinkedIn and Instagram have replaced Hijack, although it's rare I could afford time in the day for the internet in my old job until I jacked it all in to set up on my own terms, selling my soul to recruitment. Still live in Bristol. Still listen to music. Still married to Hooty. Still waiting for the long term effects of serotonin depletion to kick in, although that could just be confused with middle-age. Spending a bit too much time on PUBG on the xbox (old habits die hard).

Your turn. go go go...

Still working for the government, barely DJing at all, but still have the records. Still making music. Not grown up. Last time I went out was to see Kool G Rap at the Fleece in June 2017, so not really clubbing. Last club night I went to was probably Kerri Chandler at Motion in 2013. I can't recall going out to anything after that. I was 40 last year.
