Fucking amazing!
Bit of a stressful start with Rotator canceling at the last minute- sorry to everyone who was looking forward to that, I know I was.
Didn't seem to matter too much as incredible sets from everyone in the main room. An hour and a half smasher as expected from Limewax, a brilliant live set from Xanoptian, with Parasite and Ironside killing it for the last couple of hours keeping things bubbling til the end. Muchly enjoyed my set as well and was surprised that the room was so packed from early doors.
Missed a lot of the upstairs but what I caught of Andy Scholes, the Tokin Mandem boys and Thinking was all sounding good. I hear Tele's 3 hour marathon went down well too. Lovely work!
3rd room was once again bouncing all night- big up all you unashamed djs!
Thanks to everyone who made it a cracking birthday and one of our best Mongrels yet.
Next time we take over the upstairs for Mel's birthday bash with the likes of Chevron, iTAL tEK, Broken Note and Pinch... the mighty David Rodigan repping, as always, downstairs.
Will get some pics of this one up soon.

finally straight headed enough to type!! The night was amazing... Although Skylion didn't make it, the Tokin' Man Dem rinsed it again and I look forward to dropping it with them again very soon! Andy Scholes tested the Bass levels in Room 2 with an amazing selection of dubs, and Thinking was a great addition to the Reggae/Ragga Room- expect more dubstep at future events.  Room 3 was packed all night-great work from all involved, and room 1 was, as ever, heavy as hell!!! great dj's, great crowd, amazing atmosphere.  .... and you only have to wait a few weeks for our next instalment, featuring the ramjam don, DAVID RODIGAN!!! |

dubstep upstairs was a bit weak i thought, sorry DJ but IMO dubstep got to be so grimey that the bassline just makes my body move on its own accord bassline puppet styley!

Almost forgot- big up to Matt and Will for the light and visual display- made all the difference and some great mashups of the mongrel beasts. Loved the whole display even if you did get a little trigger happy on the smoke machine at the very end….  Will try and get them pics up this eve. |
