This has the really common disc drive fault that some of the early ones had. Apparently easy and cheap to resolve but I can't be arsed and don't have the space for it anymore.
I think it's a 40gig drive.

40 or reasonable offer.
Must go fairly soon.

do you know if this is still on the older firmware? (When was it last updated?) (I need pre 3.55 firmware)

if so, then I'm def interested.

What's the problem with the drive exactly? symptoms?

Not sure mate. I did some kind of hard reset on it while trying to diagnose the problem so everything's back to factory settings.
The laser has gone and the drive needs replaced. It's an easy job like I say but I just don't need it anymore.

How long ago was it connected to the Internet? Are you able to power it on and then check the firmware version? (Settings -> System Settings -> System Information)

Cheers

Call it 35 and it's a deal.
There's a copy of GTA4 in the drive too.

You can't haggle and promise to collect in a weeks time and still expect to be top of the pile!
