Recommend i filters please!

Really don't think that much of the autofilter in logic, so id like to try something else.... but what?

Running a Mac, would prefer something free, don't like stuff that munches a huge chunk of cpu.

imo the best filter that there is in the world of software is the opposite of both these things. Antares Filter VST is  . If you can get it for Mac in an, erm, "try before you buy" manner then I recommend it.

Also, OhmForce do a nice little freebie harmonic filter called Frohmage, available on their website and can produce a variety of nice warm tones.

My sort of stock, workhorse filter is the low/high pass pair on the MS20fx plugin in the Korg Legacy pack. The filters on that thing are enough to give a man a serious hard-on.

Get the Sonalksis bundle if you can. It's out there and the TBK (The Big Knob) 1 and 2 are just fucking awesome.

TBK1 is for filtering, 2 for bit-crushing, glitching etc.

Also check Camel Phat - I'm sure there's a free one of those about and the filters on those are pretty wicked.

Just picked up the Ohm force thing, looks liek it has potential, although didnt tickle my fancy with what im doing atm, but nice one, nice to have decent freebie stuff

Also got Camel crusher, yeah its really nice, served the purpose i was looking for at present i think - well at least feeding the sequence i had thru it resulted in an outcome im excited by - so full marks to that one!

Really appreciate the shout on the Sonalksis as i might know a man that has a dog that might have an installer for it, didn't want to go talking to the dog without more than the sales blurb on their web page, so ill keep that in mind for sure!
