I occaisionally use one called Inspector, but I've also used the fixed analysis in Cubase, which gives you an over view of the peaks on a piece of audio. It can be useful to see what's going on in a mix, but I still prefer my ears as the better judge. It can be useful to find a problem that isn't that audible, such as very low sub bass that may be causing an issue with the dynamics.
