At the risk of sounding a right beller, I've been offered a synth for sale, but I'm unsure of something.

Logic will record the midi notes, but will it record the synth sound as well, and be able to replay it even if detached from the synth?  Two Thumbs

Cheers!  Grin

Thinking about it, I'm being a spazwagon as obviously recording vocals etc are the same principle.  Doh!

you can intergrate hardware into logic so that it acts like a software instrument so a bit differnt to recording vocals ect.

Oh really? How do you do this. I just set up 2 tracks. 1 track with the midi notes and a 2nd track as an audio channel with the synth as an input on that channel?

Is there a better way of doing it?

is there a readme doc or tutorial about this?! Smiley

Have a read of this. Not sure how relevant it will be still as it is a few years old, but I doubt much has changed.
