Hi Cridge,

The ticket price is 38 as we have four professional speakers there on the day. Including a mastering engineer and three producers. The venue is very intimate and so can't be filled like a big one. Basically if you can find four hours packed with tuition from professionals, a free trial subscription to Music Tech Magazine and networking point for artists, label owners and teachers, anywhere else in the UK this summer, please let me know!
Best regards
DL Music
(P.S This is a ticket only event, and there's not many left, so if you can see the value in this you should get one quick)

cant be too much networking for 50 capacity.. 38 quid really is far too much for four hours of talks to be honest.

Hi Dedmaan,

Ok thanks alot for the opinions there. It's always good to get feedback. We fully appreciate 38 is a reasonable sum of money. However the information we are giving is for people who are serious about getting into the music industry, and as such we have drafted in producers who are successful and doing it professionally. With a combined knowledge base of over 50years between them, this is exceptional value for money, as they are showing others how to walk the path they have taken. As value is a percieved factor, this only seems like a worthwhile event if you are really interested in working as a producer. Otherwise maybe a 15 course in origami may be more suitable. This isn't a day for dabblers.

I presume you already release music and know all about it, but for all the people that are still learning and have had the sharpness to notice how useful this event is for their future (for half the price of a night on the drink) they have had no problem in investing in their career with this seminar. As I said this event is run by professionals for serious and motivated people. If you don't like the price can I suggest trying to find a cheaper and more basically run seminar. In terms of learning I heard a good quote, and it certainly got us to where we are today, which is "People should be prepared to cross the globe to touch the hand of experience". So as a result the speakers are paid fairly for their years spent learning their craft, and attendants are asked to be respectful of that journey. The music scene has changed a lot over the years, people seem to justify the stealing of software and crack it, break into festivals becuase they decide it is too expensive and download artists life works illegally becuase everyone else does (But i'm sure you don't do that.) This is a profession just like anything else. And we are giving people serious tools and knowledge to get involved with, so for those that don't see the value in what we are offering, we understand that, but they obviously don't want a career in music as much as the people who are already attending the event. (Or as badly as the producers who are sharing their knowledge on the day.)

So thanks for your thoughts here, but after the event when we ask people what they thought I know they will be more than satisfied and be running home to practice their new skills. We are really excited about the content of the seminar and it is without doubt the most up to date dance music production seminar to be held in England this year, so we have no hesitation in presenting it how we have along side Music Tech Mag. There are also many bennefits to attending the seminar, please visit the site for more information on these.

I hope this has clarified how we run things.

Be well

DL Music
