All-star HFVC DJ squad will be spinning the finest in 60's garage, psych, funk and world-wide-weirdness (strictly OG vinyl) in the back room. With the lights off. With brain-bludgeoning trippy visuals +++

Hellfire Video club is part of the Scalarama season this month - and to celebrate we're excited to be screening this recently restored, all-star-casted, genre-busting, intergalactic mind-melter.
'THE VISITOR' (aka'STRIDULUM'), loosely concerns a young girl who is the focus of an inter-dimensional fight between good and evil. Also, some people want her to'mate' with her unborn brother, and there's something about the power of'sateen' in there too To call this film confusing would be an understatement. Chock full of baffling non-sequiturs, insane set-pieces, wonky special effects and a cast of surprisingly big names playing it rigidly straight (including legendary film directors John Huston and Sam Peckinpah!) This big-budget, lost-in-translation oddity is a must see for fans of eccentric sci-fi and/or general car crash weirdo cinema. It was too much for the world in 1979, and probably still is
As always it's a double bill, so be sure to stick around for a surprise'B' picture that will keep the weirdness levels jammed up to the max.
HFVC DJ's will be in the bar playing the finest in space music. Doors open 8pm
