2  General / The Forum / Cabaret Libre! presents Brains in Vats / Lumen & Petrospective + burlesque on: December 02, 2013, 20:45:53
Dear people of Hijack,

We'd really like it if you came to our night at the Golden Lion on Friday 20th December. IT'S FREE and there will be live underground music and nakedness. What's not to like?

We're also spending our wages from the night on hiring a decent sound system, to be provided by Audio Funcktion, the team behind the sound at Boomtown, as we want it to sound crisp and loud!

We will be joined by Lumen & Petrospective (a relatively new laptop vs. live drummer combo) with a unique blend of live, bass fuelled grooves. You may know Lumen as talented local DJ, VJ and head honcho of Drawn Recordings.

There will be 45 minute eye-popping burlesque performance between bands sure to get the Christmas juices flowing.

'I don't know what the f**k I have just heard, but I loved it' - Brains in Vats crowd member post Shambala gig.

Hey all,

I'm trying to find some high-quality steel drum samples. If anyone has a pack you wouldn't mind sharing, I can offer a variety of samples in return.

Cheers,

7  General / The Exchange / Fender Twin Red Knob for sale on: September 09, 2013, 14:40:47
I'm sad to say my Fender Twin is for sale because it's just too heavy to take to gigs; I've hurt my back a few times now getting it down the steps from my house. I'm not particularly big or strong though so don't let that put you off.

Tonight! Come down for some fast and furious live music. I make a mistake in the post, Brains in Vats will be on at 10pm not 11pm.

15  General / The Forum / Bassist Wanted on: January 11, 2011, 17:27:01
Bassist wanted to join drummer and guitarist in dance/post-punk/disco band currently in rehearsal stages (think The Rapture/LCD for a rough idea). Plenty of original material ready to work on. We're looking for a player with his/her own high-quality equipment who can nail a funky groove and be fully involved in the writing process who can rehearse at least once a week (currently Sunday afternoons). Must have gas cental heating and like Tea.

If you're interested please call or email Mike on 07890168127 / pupfish7@hotmail.com to discuss.

Thanks for the tip but.... this is PC not Mac
17  Food for your Ears / The Desk / Logic 5.5 Live recording latency (?) issue - HELP! on: August 21, 2008, 11:33:11
When recording audio (guitar) into Logoc 5.5 I'm finding that during playback, if I loop a section, the audio file 'drifts' out of time to the midi clock. This only happens when looped, if I play the recorded section from the beginning, it stays in time to the midi beat I used as a metronome when recording, as it was when played live. I'm using an M-Audio 410 Firewire soundcard and have both the Midi channel and the Audio channel set to ASIO drivers. Can anyone give me the solution? Thanks, Mike.
18  General / The Forum / Re: Help! Logic 5.5 (PC) / Absynth4vst problem on: March 13, 2008, 21:25:55
I've never used a Dxi before. To install a Dxi plugin, do I just need to make sure the DXi dll file is in Logic's Dxi folder, similar to installing a vst? I know this might sound obvious but I've done it like this and I can't see Absynth Dxi from my software list in Logic.

20  General / The Forum / Re: Help! Logic 5.5 (PC) / Absynth4vst problem on: March 13, 2008, 18:10:53
Thanks all for your help, I'm gonna go home tonight and try a few things you've suggested out. I guess I should really get the legit software. The minute I can afford I'll go down that route.
21  General / The Forum / Re: Help! Logic 5.5 (PC) / Absynth4vst problem on: March 11, 2008, 20:13:27
No the package comes with Dxi / vst and stand alone versions. I'm running the Vst
22  General / The Forum / Re: Help! Logic 5.5 (PC) / Absynth4vst problem on: March 11, 2008, 19:54:51
negatory
23  General / The Forum / Help! Logic 5.5 (PC) / Absynth4vst problem on: March 11, 2008, 19:48:03
After loading Absynth4vst whenever I have one or more Absynths loaded and save a song it freezes Logic and corrupts the song file. Subsequent attempts to open song cause Logic to freeze. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know if there is a solution?
