Anyone done clay pigeon shooting locally? I'm looking for a recommendation of a good one not too far from brizzle, for a work's 'do'

I hear they vary from proper hides on farmland to just a concrete field Sad

Thanks, country gents and ladies! x  Pimp

9  General / The Forum / Re: The Olympics Thread on: July 30, 2012, 16:28:26
Wes,

The BBC have bought exclusive Uk rights to the Olympic feed from OBS, so they are the only ones who can broadcast in the uk for this and the next few Olympics.
They are providing a lot of the broadcast facilities to the OBS as the host nation and probably as part of the cost of getting exclusive UK rights. Everything you see and hear (minus commentary) on the BBC is being fed worldwide to all other nations who have paid for the right.

http://www.obs.es/introduction.html

Quote
The 2012 London Games are also a complete OBS operation. Working from Madrid, OBS plans broadcast coverage for the Olympic Games. OBS has also created a local office in London, Olympic Broadcasting Services London (OBSL), to more efficiently coordinate those aspects of the operation which require direct contact, and close coordination with the Organising Committee
10  General / The Forum / Re: The Olympics Thread on: July 30, 2012, 15:05:46
Does anyone know where I can watch a replay of the opening ceremony?

Have had a gander online but it's either been pulled by the BBC (all in the spirit of the games ay?!), is so heavily pixilated or you have to go through 15 surveys before actually getting to it.

Ive just looked, and they all are pixilated to fuck. seems the beeb are doing it. im guessing its so they can have dvd sells. i think the whole thing needs taking back to greece and leaving the fuck alone.
The beeb dont own the broadcast, the Olympic Broadcast Service do, the Beeb are just the host broadcaster so provide the infrastructure & Logistics for OBS to provide a worldwideand impartial feed.

Worst time of year to move, all the halls of residence are closing this week.
Find a 6 month let, roll it over for 3 months then move. You will save a few hundred a year in rent.

24  General / The Forum / Re: Anybody got any LED par cans for sale? on: June 08, 2012, 06:20:14
Doubtful, most places now are just buying them to replace old regular stock. They last for ages so not likely anyone gonna get rid of them (and if they are not good for stage lighting, they are kept for uplighting and high risk areas)

Have a look on blueroom, but your best bet is just buying them new!

The origin is believed to be Romany, though it has been turned into several accronyms along the way. I first heard it in Fife about 17 years ago

38  General / The Forum / Re: Vinyl Digitisation mission on: April 20, 2012, 04:27:01
A lot of people may not be as knowlegable as you Steve, it also leaves options open to people who are not just Reggae/Soul or Soul/Funk our House?Techno etc etc etc. People who want to play a wide spectrum of music who are not just playing for 45mins to an hour appreciate not having to cart a ton of records around.

Dont bring the  tools you think you will need, stick a few others in you think you  might need
39  General / The Forum / Re: Vinyl Digitisation mission on: April 19, 2012, 16:23:26
So you have a tune that was made/recorded digitally, that was recorded onto vinyl, which you re-record digitally to play on vinyl again.  Bad Teeth

Its probably not the weakest link in the signal chain for most people to be honest, it saves your vinyl from getting fucked and you can listen to your tunes on the move.  Two Thumbs

I pretty much did what JE:5 said and record all the ones i really wanted first off mixed with a bit of online scouting/buying for digital versions. I weighed up the time/cost/can be arsed factor and figured it was just as cheap to buy downloads than record them again.
40  General / The Forum / Re: pioneer djm500 fader change? on: April 17, 2012, 10:10:08
Yeah take that off, there is a white connector block underneath, slide the catch out (to the left i think)and pull the jumoper cable out. two small screws top and bottom undo the fader and board which should then just pop off.

I use methleykev on ebay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/methleykev/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 been pretty good so far.

Pretty easy fix (5 minutes), just make sure you get the correct fader as each channel is different.

Possibly because the people squatting said something along the lines of.. "ok, we will go"

250 Mugs at 12 each (unfeasable if you ask me) = 3000. Wheres the rest going?

It says 2000+ note the plus sign! Anyway who are "they" that have failed in their Court action?

Spotted this email in my inbox this morning, here is the extra info you were asking for...

Nearly 2500 costs were awarded against the No Tesco Campaign.

So under 2500... so whats happening to the potential 500+ profit from the mugs buying the mugs with poorly stuck on bits of paper, what will it go towards?

I'm guessing the cups cost about 2 to make.  Two Thumbs
