5759  General / The Forum / Re: Fun Stuff to do in Bristol when it's raining?? on: July 07, 2009, 10:58:01
Go and get really wet in the rain and then piss your pants. You can then blame the wet patch on the rain.

Not such a dumb idea when you're cold and wet.... Your legs and crotch get to be warm and wet for at least a couple of minutes.

Tut Tut urine cools faster than pure water due to the magensuim sulphate, so benefits will be short lived.

srsly tho thats family, welcome to the club. imo you can't tell your sister to fuck off, you just can't do that.

Your best bet is to get your bf to ask her to give you some space 'without you knowing' of course the danger with this is she will now hate him for the rest of his life - although if he loves you i'm sure he'll be willing to make to sacrifice.

5765  General / The Forum / Re: Parties on Narroways Hill. Long post. on: July 07, 2009, 09:30:33
Actually those people on the hill are pretty good actually. I only live about 500m away and my bedroom window looks up to it.

- They are pretty good at cleaning up after themselves
- music is never at a silly volume
- they always play nice vibes on the sunday morning
- they don't play psytrance

on the other hand my number 1 gripe against people that use that area is the Dog walkers who don't clean up their dogs mess.

Quote
People used the lane as a toilet - there was actually human faeces left around

im not supprised considering the amount of people there  Undecided but it certainly is nothing compared to the sheer quanity of Doggs mess that always lying around.

The St Werburghs comitee seem pretty cool tho - IMHAHO surley the people with the sound systems are the obvious ones who should make sure its clean and people are respectable, and I dont think anyone would have a problem doing some litter picking in the morning - providing their not completly off their face.

i'm totally with Narroways on this and think their approach is very positive.

I have had one of the regular seal Pups for awhile and I love it. I have actually been thinking about getting one of the elites for awhile. I think I might have to now. I really like the blade on the Elite. I don’t use the serrated edge much on the pup so I think The elite would be perfect.

Gift Vouchers: Whats the fucking point?

If someone gave me hard cash, I'd be down the pub quick-smartish, vouchers force the selfish to buy something that'll hopefully be remembered as a gift from colleagues or whatever.
Maybe everyone in your office is more aware of her selfishness than you  Undecided

yer shes obviously a selfish bitch, give her fuck all, shell prob spend it on smack anyway, cause shes preggers doesnt mean she deserves a present anyway, its shit when people are given office cards and presents anyway, theyre always from people who you dont care about and who dont care about you, im here to make money, not be friends shitfaces now leave me alone

Did they forget your birthday at work?

a little bit  Cry well, always infact, i would really love some office recogntion and a little birthday card every year with semi real notes of affection and care

Let us know when it is and we'll arrange a birthday PM from the admins.  Kiss

its the haunting cry for help coupelled with a layer of genuine social ignorance. Its certianly not far off the mark.

mainly spite - there aren't many people in the world that actually get pleasure from giving someone their own cash.
5793  General / The Forum / Re: ronnie biggs on: July 02, 2009, 15:09:58
the thing is he's not in prison now he's in hospital and can't speak if he was "let out" he'd be in the same position he just wants one last fuck you!

Pinochet was in hospital as well but seemed to make a remarkable recovery once safe from Spanish extradition.

What Pinns said. He should man up and take it.

5796  General / The Forum / Re: Microphone help please... on: July 02, 2009, 11:12:56
Thanks all,

I don't like the idea of a SM58 without the protective shield - everything i have has got a dent in it.

As i'm just entering the world of home recording so im just after something decent to get me going so for the moment. Also don't want a Pod as i want to learn a bit about recording from amps rather than plugging in - even if there is a drop in quality.

So (forgive the noob) why would I want a condensor (NT1000) over a dynamic mic (SM57/58)? I tried reading a sound on sound article on this but found it a bit Smashed

possibly some vocals but its mainly to record instruments.
5798  General / The Forum / Microphone help please... on: July 02, 2009, 10:17:26
Hi all,

I'm after a microphone for mainly instrument recording in a home recording setup.

The SM58 was my first stop but now i'm thinking maybe a SE1000A Studio Condenser Microphone might be better for what i want.

Budget is £100 tops.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hate to be cynical but i bet it'll be shit

well, it depends, i thought AVP I & II was pretty good - apart from the business with the night vision goggles.

I totally agree they need to forget about computers they rarley add anything to a movie and IMHAHO old skool anamatronix and cheapy models look much better.

oh and it needs Danny Glover in it.
