what are beardymans shows like these days? havn't seen him in a coupla years now, is he doing a cookery show?
The improv stuff I saw him do at the Cube was very good. When I've seen him doing DJ style set. Going through jungle, D&B hip hop etc it's been pretty dull, with occasional amusement. I think it bored Bangface to death a few years ago. I think he's brought it back to the more experimental, nonsensical and amusing side after going too far into the middle of the road a couple of years ago

Come on down tonight for some lovely sounds in your ears and sights in your eyes. Brand new live analogue AV set from me inna live cinema 8mm film style Should be worth attending to see me tearing my hair out as projectors meltdown and film spools envelope me, unless it goes to plan...haha We'll be banning all crime, cutting drugs in half and making all horseriding free, as well as providing plenty of free manitees, or whatever the thursday animale is- so it should be a pretty hijack friendly affair

I've just been informed that someone stole one of my projectors that was used for stokes croft streetfest (or whatever it was called) at hamilton house. I wasn't there, but it sounds like it was stolen the day after the event when they were packing down. It's an Optoma EP747 and looks like this: If anyone notices that their mate has mysteriously acquired a new projector then please ask them to return it, no charges will be pressed, and i'd be happy to offer a small reward to anyone that aids its return (other than the person who stole it in the first place!) Thankyou.

Yeah my mates been talking about getting a gopro camera for his helmet for just such purposes. he's been knocked off a few times recently.
Doesn't really sound like full justice to in the op, don't see why someone that fails to stop after knocking someone off their bike should ever be allowed to drive again really, especially after a previous conviction.

The whole object turns and the comp is tracking how the different textures would change under the light source. Live tracking/mapping.
yeah i guess it's more impressive from a technical point of view than from a wow factor point of view, they are very nice textures. Don't think it's camera tracking tho if that's what you mean, the servo will replicate the virtual model's movement so the projection stays mapped, doesn't need to 'track' what's happening in the real world

Projection mapping isn't 3d projection, its mapping onto 3d objects. That being said, there is of course stereoscopic projectors but people would require the glasses. This is the latest projection mapping shiznicks (and its utterly insane considering its realtime) http://vimeo.com/40670699Saying that, it's AntiVJ doing the show. I wouldn't even know what the term projection mapping meant if it wasn't for these guys. Didn't quite see what was so insane about that video tbh? looked pretty standard mapping with some well lit metallic textures. I'd much rather it was mapping than actual 3d projection, although, i spose 3d mapping done with actual 3d projection could be bloody amazing, but the glasses are just so annoying. I'm sure with Joanie doing it it'll be a lot more exciting than just exploding bricks, or they'll atleast be very very nice exploding bricks. And so glad upfest are involved this year, it seemed a bit of a kick in the teeth to have them not involved last year, on such a high budget event when they've been putting in loads of work building a rep doing essentially a very similar thing for years

Im sure i've seen this discussed on here before but couldnt find anything with the search function... Can anyone recommend a good conveyancing lawyer? Im hoping to buy a flat soon and could do with a decent lawyer to smooth it along and hopefully ensure i dont get fucked over Thanksss I just bought a house and went with these guys- http://www.cps-sols.co.uk/Really helpful and not too expensive. They also gave me some money back as they didnt need it all in the end. nice wan why is it that if you ever ask for recommendations for a lawyer or a letting agent you always get back way more tips on who to avoid than who to use? how do so many people get away with providing a crap service?

What Steve said really. They ain't as stupid as you think they are. It's a win win for the Tories really. As well as diverting the attention from Cash-For-Access and the rip offf budget, they get to demonise the unions AND get enough spending at the end of this quarter to barely keep us out of recession. Today the OECD has predicted a possible double dip and estimated negative growth for Q1. The government has responded by saying that OECD have not taken latest data into consideration and that they’re confident OBR will show Q1 just about positive. Comeon, if we can think this up I'm sure they can. the lib dems may be stupid, but unfortunately the tories are terrifyingly smart. (at least a few of them are anyway before anyone posts a picture of boris)

The video is absolutely awesome, who made it? It's edited/composited a bit strangely, but all the elements in it are absolutely lush I made it, which is probably why the composition is a bit erratic as I'm no genius when it comes to this stuff. The loops are CC-sourced courtesy of the mighty Beeple. Check him out on Vimeo, he does stuff for Brainfeeder. Interestingly the title credits were supposed to blur out in a fade but something in the rendering of the video caused them to glitch out which as it happens I preferred so I kept them in! ah nice one, yeah i'd heard of beeple but didn't know he was giving his stuff away, what a nice chap. Good work on t'video! and with Slime too in general btw, loving the vast majority of your releases so far!

more money than sense.
I don't think there is anything senseless in buying something for personal enjoyment if you can afford it. Owning something you can tour the globe in makes more sense to me than blowing money on an xbox. I don't really think we should treat all of the super rich with contempt. That just sounds like sour grapes to Me and isn't a good way to promote the redistribution of health. You just sound like a bitter hippy. This argument is starting to go round in circles but hey, what the hell. Seems to me it comes down to whether you think it is right that there are people in the world who can afford such a purchase when so many people live in poverty. My own view is that no matter how intelligent someone is, or how hard he or she works, their contribution can't possibly warrant the amount of money we're talking about here. But if you're a believer in the free market and trickle-down economics then you probably think it's alright. So we'll probably just have to agree to disagree. I get that most people's opinions on these sort of things comes back deeply rooted viewpoints that probably go back to early childhood or something, but in a time when we're seeing everywhere the adverse effects of a tiny percentage of people skimming a massive majority off the economy for their own enjoyment, I don't see how anyone could defend this kind of wealth and the flaunting of it... Our government claims that there's not enough money to run the nhs, the police, schools, benefits, social housing, etc etc, yet if they'd been taxing the rich properly, and the businesses they run, then there would be plenty of money to spread around. I cannot understand how this doesn't bother people

Went there early last year and had a wicked time, absurdly messy... met my mates who were already there in the pub straight off the plane. It was happy hour, buy 1 get 1 free on pints that were already almost as cheap as water, we ended the night with lost people, piss everywhere, mcdonalds, a broken ankle, many missing items of clothing, and my mates girlfriend woke up the next day still going round and round on the tram not knowing where she was. I thought the cross club was that really cheesy one with loads of floors all themed like different clubs, but having clicked the link i think im remembering wrong. Anyway, best avoid the theme-floor club, its mostly local men sleazing horrifically onto foreign girls. We went and saw ramadanman at the Roxy and it was an awesome club, if a bit pricey. For vegetarian food there's an amazing little hare krishna place run by monks that are very nice and do vvery nice cheap food

The Road. That's fucking depressing.
Requiem has a double anal scene at the end, how can that be depressing?
I'd found most of the film to be pretty crushingly depressing, but it really got the better of me when i realised that i was being further depressed by lesbian anal sex, i never thought that'd be possible. I found the road to be quite a cheerful romp tho. I challenge anyone to not be horrifically, morbidly depressed by Palindromes, that is a miserable film

How big is Kony's yacht?
not as big as Invisible Children's... Yeah but its not fucking "essential" spending at all, is it? Its needless extravagance. That's just some shit rich folk say to make themselves feel justified for having where others have not.
I think you're playing a bit of devil's advocate here, sir.
& i dare say much of your lifestyle would seem like decadence to an african tribesmen say... it's all relative... i'd say the super rich lifestyle is a more comfortable version of a normal one with better food Of course its frigging relative. But if I trimmed all the fat off my budget, stopped having any sort of social life, got rid of my internet and cable telly and started the full Buddhist posessionless shit I'd still only have enough going spare to maybe, maybe pay for someone else to have half of what I would then have. And who wants half of a 1 bed flat that used to be a squat? t'other hand Mr £100m Yacht could afford to give hundreds of people my lifestyle and still keep his 10 bedroom house. It might be relative, but its exponential when you get out of "the 99%" (I had hoped to avoid using that phrase). 75% tax over £1,000,000 a year. 90% over £10,000,000. Close the loop holes. If you don't like it, we cut your head off and nationalise your business.
It is hard to know where to draw the line, and even without countries undercutting each other there's already dozens of ways to hide how much you earn. "Oh no sir, im not earning over a mil a year, cuz 5.6mil of it goes straight into stocks" or something like that. I think the only way things will be brought more into balance is if the culture of greed, envy & desire is brought down, so that people are capable of saying for themselves "actually, i dont need that much, and its absurd that i've got 9900000000 x what most people have" so they give a lot of it away, or realign their wage with reality to start with. The trouble is that the whole economic system is designed to keep exacerbating the inequality. The money system needs to be reformed so that new money can be created without putting everyone in debt to the 1% to start with...

I think I prefer the tie ones as they have more of a 'portable, casual' vibe about them, but will buy whatever you decide to go with. Been buying Minirigs for various friends and absolutely spreading the word! Yea I hear ya... but the nylon one just feels and look so much more premium... I think the simple tie neoprene one is too basic. Hmm... Its really hard to decide as I'd have to add a little to the price to include the nylon one and not sure how well that would go down. I might just sell it separate for like £4 or something. It's just awesome when you upzip it and the cables are held in the top and the minirig is sitting wrapped in a little blanket... the whole thing just looks cool! Love the snow boarding photos!!! I want to make an album of "minirigs in interesting places". new site up tomorrow hopefully... looking awesome! here is my £4 can i have a zippy case now please?

edit/ serious note though. Bristol needs a good 200 - 500 cap club. the closure of level, tube & native massively closed this hole. however, there loads of great new nights coming through. some examples, shapes & piff
This. My main beef is with the lack of venues of medium size where you can put on decent nights that you can build on. I also just love raving in smaller clubs a lot of the time atmosphere wise. Native, Level and Tube were and remain my favourite Bristol clubs. Also clubs that appeal to a wider demographic and a lot of the clubs are absolute shit holes as well which isn't nice. I'd agree with this. I'd say a lack of good quality small to mid sized club venues with great soundsystems is more of a problem than promotional cartels or whatever the original poster was moaning about. Loads of people seem to be agreeing with this...whats wrong with T2 and B45, other than just being letters and numbers... im sure there's more other good little places although they aren't coming to me at the mo. They've put loads of effort into T2 recently and really improved it, and i hear there's more changes to come that sound pretty awesome. I know a lot of nights seem to struggle to get the numbers in at b45 but i don't know why, i think its a nice club, but nights there rarely have a good atmosphere...

If they don't come out by themselves your body will break them down over time. If it gets sore/red/swollen/oozes yellow or green gunk go back to your GP.
Thanks Kitty for being the sole shining light of moderately useful response! They have been swollen, red and sore since they appeared, but i think they are getting very slowly less so, but so slowly i cant tell if im just imagining it... Badoomtish... If they're getting better rather than worse (slowly is fine) then don't worry. If they start getting worse it's definitely AIDS its taken me all day to figure out what i did there i think these worms is slowin me down...
