1  General / The Forum / GHETTO FUNK/BREAKBEAT/JUNGLE/OLD SKOOL NIGHT BY JIGSORE 23.11.12 on: November 04, 2012, 18:47:17

http://www.facebook.com/events/143166375823207/?fref=ts

JIGSORE SOUND & LITTLE WHORE PRODUCTIONS Present BEAT FIGHTER!! This night is dedicated to underground and lesser known artists and djs. 2 rooms of dance fighting fun!!

ROUND ONE - GHETTO FUNK Vs BREAKBEAT/BASSLINE

B-SIDE / WOMBLE / FLAVA RAVE / CHRIS E / LOXI

ROUND TWO - BREAKBEAT HARDCORE/OLD SKOOL Vs JUNGLE

YOUR MOTHER / HAMSTA / MARK C / DRAKE MALLARD / AL DOPE CAPONE / GUTTER SLUT COLLECTIVE

THE STORY...
Vengeance is a dish best served loud. In a barren wasteland where civilization once stood a new breed of fighting now determines ones worth. When mankind finally became victim to its own greed and corruption, massive wars destroyed the planet, turning the sky green and the ground dry and lifeless. Whats left now fights for survival through the medium of dance.
Sound systems are set up and worthy warriors step forth onto the battleground with their chosen fighting style to win victory, power and most of all respect.
The fight begins as a contender produces epic sound disturbances on the dance floor. Winners are chosen depending on the crowd response. Of course it’s not all about winning; the losers are taken outside and shot.

ROUND ONE – GHETTO FUNK VS BREAKBEAT/BASSLINE

DJ B-SIDE (GHETTO FUNK)
A key player in developing the Gheto Funk fighting style, B-Side has been known to leave enemies bodies broken from his relentlessly funky beats.
http://soundcloud.com/dj-b-side-1

WOMBLE (BASSLINE HOUSE)
The Diggin' It Records and Digga Soundsystem midget cage fighter takes off the gloves and represents his kru. Womble is known throughout the ghettos of Taunton for his wobble/bassline/fidget technique.
http://soundcloud.com/dj-womble

LOXI (BREAKBEAT AND GHETTO FUNK)
In order to survive in this post apocalyptic nightmare some fighters choose to be chameleons. By having the DNA of one added these genetically modified fighters adapt their fighting style to the environment around them. This time our genetic hybrid will be using a mixture of the ghetto funk and breakbeat techniques.
http://soundcloud.com/loxi

FLAVA RAVE (GHETTO FUNK)
More gangster than The Sopranos DVD boxset, Flava Rave was born in a town that has been ravaged by war (1640-1660) and survival is dictated by word on the street.
http://soundcloud.com/lazerbreak

CHRIS E (BREAKBEAT)
Chris is a deranged General from the hillbilly town of Rigory who went A.W.O.L during a tour of duty in the rabid lands of Wales.
Chris now stalks the badlands and woodland with a gang of rouge middle class white men.
http://soundcloud.com/chrise1

ROUND TWO – BREAKBEAT HARDCORE/OLD SKOOL VS JUNGLE

DJ MARK C (BREAKBEAT HARDCORE/OLD SKOOL)
From the distant lands of the 1990's, Mark C has wandered the wastelands with nothing but his box of vinyl. His story is one of legend and adventure told to the soundtrack of a 90's acid casualty.
http://soundcloud.com/dj-mark-c

YOUR MOTHER (BEINIGORI)
Your mother developed her fighting style during her incarceration in the Retox pharmaceutical research labs of Ottery St. Mary. Unfortunately a chemical spill spliced her DNA with a pack of angry otters hungry for vengeance. Your Mother now lurks in the shadows exacting her revenge upon anyone who crosses her path. She flurts with many fighting styles but this time we expect to see the flying breakbeat hardcore jungle mash-up.
http://soundcloud.com/beinigori-irie-bingo

HAMSTA (JUNGLE)
Hamsta, a mutant rodent from the Jungle Syndicate clan joins the tournament to regain the honour lost by the Jungle Syndicate in their last three fights against the Jigsore Kru. With revenge in his eyes and his cheeks filled with amen breaks all he must do now to secure victory is nibble through the bars of his cage.
http://soundcloud.com/amsta

DRAKE MALLARD (BREAKBEAT HARDCORE)
After accidentally swallowing potion left on a windowsill by a crazed inventor, Drake mallard has been stuck in a time loop. Now the Mallard is trapped in a time prison where it is always 1995.
Every once in a while a small rift in time catapults him into the future where he must battle the best he can with the out dated music he has.
http://soundcloud.com/drakemallard

AL DOPE CAPONE (JUNGLE)
The people who flourish in godless times are those who can turn global misfortune into a profitable business plan. Al controls a large vinyl racket smuggling illegal tunes into underground clubs and speak easy's. Badman get murder dem who dare try and muscle in on Capone’s turf, the last thing heard by those laid to rest is ‘it’s not like that bruv’.

GUTTER SLUT COLLECTIVE
Playing all the worst tunes that you love. When the world turned sour women found they were less suited to the kitchen and actually quite enjoyed gang culture. One such gang known as the Gutter Slut Collective now terrorizes the ruined city of Bristol with long lost pop songs, but still finds the time to whip up a nice pasta dish.

All the usual vibes and cheer known to our nights to be expected as standard.

Fascism

1.   any ideology or movement inspired by Italian Fascism, such as German National Socialism; any right-wing nationalist ideology or movement with an authoritarian and hierarchical structure that is fundamentally opposed to democracy and liberalism
2.   any ideology, movement, programme, tendency, etc, that may be characterized as right-wing, chauvinist, authoritarian, etc3.   prejudice in relation to the subject specified: body fascism

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fascism

Its got fuck all to do with violence really, that's just how it usually ends up, we should be more concerned with the path that leads us there imo. Current cost of living, welfare reforms, austerity measures, surveillance and technological 'modernisation' , bank bonuses and bailouts, the daily creation of billionaires vrs growing numbers of impoverished, a growing militarized police state, the dismantling of democracy, the rise of  technocratic management of state finance and the erosion of state infrastructure. now that's fascism. Marx once wrote that 'bureaucracy is the highest form of capitalism',  what he didn't say was that bureaucracy is fascisms' bezzy mate, though in all fairness he did say it would ultimately lead to totalitarian dictatorships as everyone (every state and nation) becomes in conflict over their accumulated capitals and hard won resources.

Steve is probably right here, in that argy protests - left or right - have never really achieved much , the anti iraq demo should prove to anyone and everyone that even the biggest most peaceful demos' with the best intentions , with millions of participants from all walks of life attending can event do shiit. (unless it fits in with the wider agenda that is)

Script um.. yeah.. what he said.

they have drawn up the latest map of bristol, it's not been put out to the general massive yet but st. pauls is now smaller. i will try and find it (although like i said, don't think it has been released yet)

Ok. But in the meantime seeing you appear to be claiming to have seen it, what roads etc have been taken from St Pauls?

But please remember that the area around Mandela Park (Davey, Franklyn St. etc) has never been St Pauls, its always been St Anges and the bit around the Duke of York isn't St Pauls or St Werburghs either.  NERD ALERT!

Also the council hasn't included Albany road etc for years, lived there from 2008 onwards and its always been classed as Monteplier.(sp?)

Don't meant to sound aggy btw, just interested if you can recall whats been removed from the parish?

i haven't seen it, I was working for a local business in st.pauls that the manager was talking about this. second hand info i am afraid but i think they knew what they were talking about. I however am not 100% because despite him telling us the new limits i can't remember.. sorry.. shit memory.  Undecided Bad Teeth

i think it is like what the people of st. pauls have been saying.. the council wants to turn st. pauls into a more middle class trendy wine bar, like what they are doing to stokes croft. the carni-cutdown is a part of that plan imo.

I am mates with some of those guys... and the ones i know do not have rich mums and dads, they are poor as fuk lol. I am all for squatting, don't do it my self but if they look after the property then i see no harm. some of my squatter mates do just go into places and rave the shit out of them, if it belongs to the bank then party on but if it belongs to some random who just can't afford to do it up then  it's a bit harsh. these guys aren't all ravers and have been looking after the place.. big ups.

This is true, however you would have thought people had figured out by now that there's a definite link between doing really high-profile mansion style squats and the government clamping down and trying to make squatting illegal. Whilst staying in a mansion for a month or two is gonna be really fun for all involved it has a massively negative long term effect on people who are staying in normal properties who can't afford to put a roof over their heads.

I think they're fools tbh..... the nature in which their doing this is making the situation worse for others. Silly Tang's got it right.... this lot need to be way more savvy

It strikes me as an ego trip for the squatters.

yeah i totally agree with that.. but they are well young, and pretty much all new to squatting. some squatters have ruined it for all, no doubt.. but i have known lifetime squatters who were just as bad

It's not Facebook, it's the internet in general.  Anyway more and more workplaces are restricting social network access.  I can pretty much access anything except Facebook, twitter and g plus...

We used to ban facebook and myspace at work but then we lifted the ban as it is becoming more important for the way we communicate to our customers.

People just sit there on their 3G phones art work looking at social networking sites anyway.

bomb dogs are good... but bomb kangaroos are better. However, Long Live The Animals would never really want to send an Animal on a suicide mission, we are not al qaeda. I know it does say about the mice but really the best thing to do is train your animals to use the weapons. A good way to do this is by getting them to watch the Rambo trilogy

Oh for fuck sake can everyone just get a grip of themselves and thank their lucky stars that this is the biggest of their problems.

Some of the drama in this thread actually disgusts me. Sort yourselves out.

What so people aren't allowed to get upset by something unless its as serious as war/someone dying/getting a disease etc? We've all just got to shut our mouths until there's something serious enough? sometimes the small things matter they're what make life enjoyable and i think i have enough anger to moan about multiple problems, the past few years i haven't been able to afford to go on holiday and carnival's been one of the few days where i've really enjoyed myself and its felt like a holiday so to me it matters.

The whole this is bonkers ridiculous mental nuts, 250 thousand pounds to put on??!!! Whut Da Bimbaflex !!?? The level of retard logic used to justify spending two hundred and fifty thousand on a community carnival in a space the size of St pauls is unimaginable.

It shouldnt cost more than 10 grand to put on? the systems are free, the stalls are free, the main stage if scaled back to what it was wouldnt cost much?? policing the event is free you say? elite security cant be charging much? the procession wont cost much! as 90% of the materials used for costumes and such comes from scrapstore which is cheap as a plate of jerk chicken. Spose the clean up the next day might cost a few grand?

What a piss take and a joke.

Read the accounts! 235 grand to put it on, 79k to pay wages for the company that puts it on, 85k in "events management" which would ideally be broken down more, and another 77k in various other stuff - it definitely all adds up.

simple solutions.. fuck off the 'company that puts it on' (because who the fuck are they and what are they doing with that money) fuck off the 'events management (or at least scale them down to the people of st.pauls) and what is this 'various other stuff'? and how does it cost 77k? bollocks.. total bollocks

yeah it is a joke.. the council or 'cuntcil' as i like to call them, be having jokes rather a lot these days. remember.. the original festival back in the day cost nothing, well, the people of st. pauls obviously spent some money putting it on but would make it back from stalls ect. what we are paying for is red tape.. and you know you can get that from the scrap store for next to fuck all. just play music anyway, what are they going to do? really?  going to be an interesting year for st. pauls this year.

32  General / The Forum / 10 ways to save the planet on: March 02, 2012, 13:10:54
10 WAYS TO SAVE THE PLANET
Here are Long Live The Animals 10 ways you can help save the planet...

1. KILL YOURSELF

The best thing you can do to create a better world is to rid it of yourself. You may think that you live an ethical life but you don't. Everything you do on a daily basis kills the planet. Even if you don't eat meat, don't use clothes and live in a tree you are still a cunt. End it and end it now. Make it look like murder and take someone else down with you.

2. KILL OTHER PEOPLE

If you don't have the balls to kill yourself, how about killing other people? This will rid the planet of more than one person and is in many ways better than simply killing yourself. You will probably end up killing yourself once the police corner you after your GTA style rampage anyway so it's best of both really.

3. DON'T HAVE CHILDREN.

If we have too many humans on the planet as it is why the fuck are you making more? Rubber up and have a coat hanger at the ready. An ice cream scoop also works well for an abortion on a budget, and it also helps add protein to your ice cream. If you are a male, why not only have sex with whores? not only are they well experienced but they have pimps who will simply kick any unwanted children out of them.
You might think that you can bring a child up with ethical values (firstly a reminder of stage 1) but you can't. the more you try and influence their life choices the more they will rebel against you. Whatever you do they will turn out to be little cunts. Nip it in the bud and don't have any.

4. BOYCOTT GOVERNMENTS

Governments have always had the power to change the world but don't because they are evil cunts. They serve only them selves and their masters in big business. They will never give a fuck about our planet because our planet will never pay them any money, buy them a big second home or suck them off at a cocaine orgy. The best way to boycott a government is to stop paying tax. as governments often take tax from your wages before you get them you will need to quit your job. You probably work for an unethical company anyway and can always make money buy selling drugs, your body or stealing from people or big business. As well as not supporting governments you may wish to take things a step further by removing them from power all together.

5. BOYCOTT EVIL COMPANIES

The list of unethical companies is almost endless. You will need to do your homework, but the more you can boycott the better. Also, like with governments, better than Boycott is sabotage and actively destroying these companies and stopping them from operating all together. This is the best way to complete this stage.

6. WEAPONIZE ANIMALS

Animals are keen to rid the planet of the human illness. However some of them lack the arsenal to do so. Why not help weaker Animals join the fight by strapping guns and sharp objects to them? A mouse may not seem like a threat to a human but one with a fragmentation grenade taped to it can cause quite a mess in a supermarket or play school.

7. DESTROY THE POLICE FORCE

As much as the police may seem like they are there to help us, the truth is they are in place to protect the government and in turn the rich. Please release Mice and other plague Animals into police stations. Locust, Spiders, Rats and Lions are all good for this but fire also works well.

8. KNOCK DOWN BUILDINGS

Buildings and other human constructions destroy areas that Nature could and should flourish in. This can be very fun and if you drive a bus full of people into a building with people in it you will achieve stages 1 and 2 also, making this a hattrick of win.

9. CREATE ANIMAL ARMIES

Why not breed your own army of animals to join the fight? Imagine the look on shoppers faces as you ride a Tiger into a shopping mall surrounded by legions of Animal warriors. Many animals are good for this and if you combine stage 9 with stage 6 you really are onto a win. Do remember that although Sharks may seem like a good idea for this they do not work well on land, mainly because they can't swim backwards.

10. SPREAD THE WORD

Find out how evil the human race is and tell people about it. They may not change their evil ways but they will at least feel bad, and if you make them feel bad enough they might even kill them selves.

It is saying that 'your kru' (or crew, in your case the jungle syndicate) are not as AWESOME as our crew, or 'Kru' JIGSORE  (or 'jigsaw, as is should be spelled. just as well it isn't because since we started some other Bristol promoters have thought that jigsaw was an epic name too and stole..... i mean..... just used it too)

Remember, we grew up with the likes of Korn and limp bizkit... we still think it's cool to spell things rong.  Bad Teeth

Do you have any that say 'I love Ketamine and Hardtek'?

no... sorry. was thinking about doing one that said 'hardtek - because who need production value when you have a kick drum' ...but didn't, maybe next time. I do like the idea of doing drug ones but I think it has been done quite a bit before (not that there aren't already t-shirts that slag off music but..)
