General / The Forum / For Sale: 2 x NME Tour tickets @ Bristol Academy TONIGHT
|
on: February 19, 2013, 12:13:59

Selling them on behalf of a mate, as he can't make it and, tbh, is far too old to even think about going in the first place. £15 each, so that's £30 for the pair maths fans.
They're e-tickets apparently, so pay the guy via PayPal and he'll email you the tickets. PM me if interested.

you can get a new Behringer one well cheaply - like 20 or 30 quid. I had one it was alright TBH
Funnily enough, I found those as soon as I posted this thread! I probably don't need the interface now anyway, so this thread is completely pointless Oh well, here's Noel Edmonds holding a sheep: You're welcome.

OK, I'm 75% done, but can someone explain something just so I can enjoy the rest of the book.
Who, or what (without spoilers) is Riviera?
If they want to kill him so bad, or if he's such a bastard, why did they bring him up to the station? And how did they lose him?
And what the fuck is he anyway? Some kind of artist?
Just carry on reading mate. *Weeps in frustration* WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!!! Haha, been there mate, That book made my brain hurt at times, but it's still one of the best things I've read.

General / The Forum / Graffiti artist wanted for office mural
|
on: February 21, 2012, 10:56:42
|
My company has just moved to a new office and we're after a graffiti artist to do their thing on a wall or four to break the monotony of four white walls. Obviously we'd something relatively tasteful, so if your portfolio solely consists of a shitty tag and a mural of an MC 'bringing the flava' or some shit, please do not apply and maybe have a word with yourself as well.
Anyway, if you think you can do it or if you know anyone who can, post pics and / or contact details here or drop me a PM.

Metalheadz is HUUUUGE!!!. You are selling yourself short mate, and thats not just my opinion..
Really? Metalheadz WAS huge, but it's 2012 and their hayday was over 15 years ago. Who under the age of 25 knows of Metalheadz, Goldie etc? 99% of DNB really is stuck in a timewarp, it's fucking madness. You menton 'Therapy Sessions' and 'Renegade Hardware', both were nights / labels that were at their peak a LONG time ago. I wish DNB promotors would actually 'push it and take a risk' as you say, by doing something fresh, getting new, interesting artists, having varied lineups that aren't ONE genre all night and basically not chasing the coattails of a sound that died over a decade ago. You know there's some great DNB out there, but most of you promoting DNB events seem to think it's still 1999.

RIP BLOC.
Massive shame but what with the carnival clash and now this I don't see myself ever attending again. I'm sure the organisers will be crying themselves to sleep once they find out. BANG FACE

what the hell happened to this type of music anyway
Wish I knew mate. When dubstep blew up, this style pretty much ceased to exist. If Toasty or Search & Destroy had been on that first 'Dubstep Wars' show, maybe it would have been different, who knows.

You sure man ? @minirig or @minirigs doestn't return anything. I used to hate twitter, but find it far more interesting then Facebook or this place. all about who you follow - horses for courses innit. Thing is, if someone like Flying Lotus bought one (or you sent him one) if he tweets about it, 80,000+ people then know about your product.

Very tempted to get one of these in the new year. Love the fact you can link 'em together - tophoid I'm looking at you! One suggestion though - create a Minirig Facebook group and Twitter profile with links to your website - even if you never use them again. It's pretty obvious that 'word of mouth' about how loud these things are is generating orders. All it takes is a few people to use a #minirig hash-tag, for example, and you could get loads of orders off the back of it.

10 That's not approximate. Dunno bout an approx figure, but I can't imagine more then 20 of them making their way up from Gloucester. Most of my relatives are scared of fire tbh.

General / The Forum / "Family friendly" venue hire along Gloucester rd ?
|
on: November 09, 2011, 12:42:06

My 'fam' are pestering me to have some kind of celebration for my 30th, as opposed to my original plan of simply hating people younger then me and wondering where it all went wrong. I'm looking for a bar or pub with a low crusty/student ratio (pretty hard along Glos road tbh) preferably with a private area/room if possible. Any ideas ?

Reckon it could definitely work and be great... with the right venue Even if it's more chilled, different guest DJ for the hour, somewhere central to meet up, eat ya lunch & listen to some good tunes... I'd go. Outdoor venues in the summer specially (what a useful post this is)
