There is Butlins Skegness, not far up the road from Bloc HQ, and at 7500 capacity would be larger than Minehead.
There is some sort of weekender taking up 2 weekends in nov, but the diary still has a week free. Could be either side of that maybe

might get myself a new fixed rate then as i cant see it dropping much more in the next few months

Quote
1231 GMT [Dow Jones] The Bank of England's unexpected 150 basis points rate is "significantly more than analysts and forecasters were expecting," says James Knightley, economist for ING Financial Markets. Adds that the rate cut is justified as the UK economy is already in recession. "We continue to look for additional aggressive rate cuts ... and suspect we could be down to 2.5% in December and 2.0% in January," Knightley says.

Quote
1307 GMT [Dow Jones] Further Bank of England interest rate cuts are likely and it wouldn't be surprising to see rates drop to 1% or even lower within the coming year, says KPMG chief economist Andrew Smith. The BOE's 1.5 percentage point cut shows the MPC now understands the seriousness of the situation, he says. "It's already too late to stave off recession and inflation is yesterday's story - the game now is to ensure it doesn't turn into deflation and a depression," Smith says.

Specualtion by analysts so not guaranteed, natch.

Recession has its benefits.......

I've got a halifax tracker -.18% BELOW base rate and loving it. I've seen all the cuts, they have to pass them on!  Two Thumbs

but in a years time the 2 year intro offer ends and it goes up to standard rate - time to shop for a new one.  Sad

Im with halifax and my 2 year fixed rate ended in march 2008 and was 7.5% SVR back then, now if halifax drop in lines with BOE it should go down to 5% hopefully, might get myself a new fixed rate then as i cant see it dropping much more in the next few months

Bristol City have signed Southampton striker Stern John on loan until January.
The 31 year-old passed a medical at Ashton Gate this morning and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's match at Barnsley.
City boss Gary Johnson said of the former Birmingham City and Coventry City striker: "He's got good experience and has scored goals at this level and above throughout his career.
"He certainly adds to our striking options for what is a very busy period leading up to Christmas.

still can't 100% tell if its a sparrowhawk or a falcon though... if ya wanna know the difference between a buzzard and a kestrel theres no prob, this one i was never told me the theory for though..  I'M SO ANGRY! i want a refund!!

Its defo a sparrowhawk, they are quite common in gardens.

cheers! though how can ya tell the difference, scanning google images it just seems they look the same!!?

2 reasons

The eye, kestrals have a dark eye, with little or no colour in them, unlike sparrowhawk, The colour of the eye often depends what time of day/night they hunt in.
The legs, Kestrals have shorter legs than a sparrowhawk, their long thinish legs are pretty unique to the sparrowhawk

I would that was a adult male sparrowhawk, they are smaller than females, and havent got the prominent white stripe just over the eye like females have (see below)

The sale of Carle and the signing of GW is some shrewd business by Johnson and Lansdowne, but I'm still quite frustrated by the lack of transfer activity. Apart from right back, keeper, central midfield all areas could be strengthened, but the priority is a goalscorer and some decent widemen. McIndoe gives 100%, but he just isn't good enough for the division, the same goes for Spoule.

McIndoe is definetly good enough for the Championship, whithout a doubt one of our best players last season, i agree that Sproule has been a let down but he does have talent and if he could learn to use his pace he would come good.

Sorry, but he has no pace or trickery and cant beat his full back,

No pace? That is the only thing going for Ivan, he can beat players, just 7 times out of 10 his final ball is not brilliant.

JEREMY P CAULFIELD
At a time when so much techno feels like endless variations on a played-out theme, it’s heartening to know that there are still a handful of artists, labels and DJs who can combine experience, skill and forward-looking ideals in style. Step forward Jeremy P. Caulfield, who amply ticks all of the above boxes.

As proprietor of leading neuro-minimal imprint Dumb-Unit, DJ of widely-acclaimed repute, and occasional producer of stripped-back, ominous dancefloor bombs, Jeremy has emerged from his early days on the Canadian techno circuit to become a leading light of today’s underground club scene. Using his fifteen years of DJing experience as a springboard, Jeremy has utilised Dumb-Unit as a pivotal platform for the blossoming careers of artists including Butane, Lee Curtiss, Sweet N’ Candy and Seph, loosely defining a hinterland micro-scene of murky, intricate sounds that play with the darkest recesses of the mind while remaining firmly attached the propulsive drive of the dance-floor.

It’s an ambiguous definition best articulated by his series of Detached:Works mix tapes and CDs, which over the course of three volumes and 10 years neatly plots Jeremy’s evolution from sparky underground enthusiast to undisputed connoisseur of finely-tuned contemporary techno. From early residencies at Toronto’s legendary Blue and Fukhouse parties (where he knocked around with like-minded local jocks Adam Marshall, Ian Guthrie and Jeff Milligan, while playing alongside techno deities like Richie Hawtin, Derrick May and Jeff Mills), Jeremy’s established himself as one of North America’s finest DJs. In 2008 alone, alongside his residency at Watergate, (in his adopted home of Berlin) Jeremy has played nearly every weekend across the globe, including gigs at renown clubs and festivals such as Fabric, Fuse, Mutek, and the Sonne Mond Sterne Festival and tours of Japan, Australia and South America .

Meanwhile, his rare but intricate rocking live shows surface every once in a while to remind us that his darkly-tinged, boiled-down beats and distantly unsettling grooves are one of the most precious jewels in the jagged DU crown. Check his killer releases Dumb-Unit, Trapez and WMF if you need any proof.

Somewhere between his smart, re-edit heavy sets, his vigorously spiky artist releases, and his scandalously consistent label, there lurks the charred, elusive heart of Jeremy P. Caulfield. The fun part is trying to find

SEPH
Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, young Sebastian Galante started to study music by playing the piano and percussion at the age of 7. As a young teenager, he moves to Norwich, England, starting to compose piano pieces (focusing on an aleatoric improvisation approach) as well as anything that came to his mind. Here Seph also developed a love for urban music and dance beats. In 2001, with 15 years of age, he returns to his homeland and starts his first electronic productions, working hip hop beats and techno. In 2004, influenced by composers of a whole variety of musical areas (from Erik Satie and John Cage to Michael Jackson, Bjork and Plastikman) he dove into producing dark and funky minimal techno.
In 2005, with only 19 years of age, Seph's debut ep "Goust" is released on Igloo-rec and from then on he becomes one of it..s main faces. Immediately after, he starts to get recognized for his up to 4-hour live sets, playing alongside fellow artists such as Barem, Violett, Dilo etc., and it was also around this time that he formed the audiovisual project Goust A/V with Pablo Denegri. Following his needs to explore other genres, he also started to develop another project, Fes, which is musically the exact opposite of Seph; if Seph is a spooky techno, Fes is a downtempo, melodic, optimistic and much more freestyle project.
2006 sees him participating in “Aires Buenos” (Unfoundsound). Later on this year he appears in Post Office Special Argentina Madness, a compilation that groups the new generation of experimental techno argentinian artists (Telegraph). He works also with Dilo and has also a techno project, Geoph Serge with Jorge Savoretti.
In 2007 he releases on labels such as Stock5, Kalimari, Phonocult, Dumb Unit, 11AM, having presented his live set all over europe and south america in clubs such as Harry Klein (Munich), Fuse (Brussels), City Fox (Zurich), Flex (Vienna), Watergate (Berlin), Gazolder Gallery (Moscow) and he will continue his tour in the USA, South America and Japan, whilst working on his new album.

TRUSS
Truss (Tom Russell) was born and bred in a small hill top village surrounded by sheep on the outskirts of Cardiff in South Wales. Throughout his childhood, Tom was mentored by his musician father who encouraged him to learn various instruments and perform in many orchestras and bands. As a teenager, Tom was introduced to the thriving UK rave scene through his friends’ badly recorded mix tapes. They featured mostly UK hardcore and early jungle and it was from these that he developed a taste for electronic based music. Many years of record shopping, DJ'ing and partying followed, from which Tom gained an increasing appreciation for the heavy industrial sounds of Birmingham and London of the late nineties. His production skills are also regularly in demand to provide music for many world wide advertising campaigns. Tom's DJ and live sets hold true to his love of raw electronic grooves and tripped out soundscapes.
