Was DIY tickets for the masses.
Tickets numbers were in sequential order and the barcodes could be produced with this handy tool, kindly kept on a non secure url by the ticketing company. I build websites and that is 101 retarded. Once people with legitimate tickets turn up and the ticket scanners say "denied" they think its something wrong with the scanner rather than they have already scanned that barcode on a fake ticket.. Still take a while for word to get around for enough people to make em... hmmm u dunno.

27  General / The Forum / Re: The classic traktor vs serato debate on: February 26, 2012, 19:32:50
What does your controller allow you to do? Trigger samples and apply effects?

Yeah both (http://www.decks.co.uk/products/native_instruments/Traktor_Kontrol_X1) - the rotarys can trigger fx and then buttons at bottom trigger cues. Also allows starting loops etc really easily. Another good one are dicers which allow cues, rolls and loops Smiley
28  General / The Forum / Re: The classic traktor vs serato debate on: February 26, 2012, 16:15:06
I've never used traktor so cant really give a one vs the other answer unfortunately.

All the bits you mentioned are definitely possible with serato - if you only have 1 deck, at the end of each mix you can assign the tune to the 'virtual deck' ie playing off the computer internally. I've been using it for about 4 years now and havent looked back - the only inconvenience is plugging it in but then all digital systems have the same issue.

What I do really like about serato is you can get 2,3 or 4 deck versions - the more decks the more it costs. They have also released asio drivers so in buying a box you are getting a pretty damn good sound card as well.

its real easy to map midi controllers into the software (I suspect you can do the same with traktor) - i've been using a native instruments controller for a while now which is primarily designed for traktor but have just mapped all the controls to serato commands
