That is a good read...
Only when I can listen to a 4 bar loop over and over and over and not get bored of listening to it, I build the arrangement. . . Works for me. (for techno that is).

Bit weird that when i start thinking about getting one, it pops up!
Do you think its worth it for 280?
I'd be happy give you some samples, come round if like and you can tweak it yourself.

You'd think it would be something simple like that but all outputs are routed correctly. My friend is going to bring his laptop and I will transfer the project to see if that works.
Cheers for suggestion though.

Food for your Ears / The Desk / Strange Logic 8 Problem
|
on: January 08, 2009, 11:49:45
|
Any help or suggestions please.... I have been working on a track for a while with no problems. I opened this track last night and something strange happened. Each audio track seems to have routed itself through to the following channel but also plays on the original. ie audio 1 plays through both audio 1 and 2. To make it even more strange some audio channels play nothing! I have looked in the environment but see nothing out of the ordinary.... I also tried back up versions, pressed undo 500 times etc. I'm going out of my mind, this track is all cleared to be released, I was just polishing it up and now its all gone tits up mind! Help?!?!? Joe

I got me a Mkiii a while ago from Thomann. It was 429 which is well worth it.
What more can I say. GET ONE! Heh
I'll give some one shot hh's if any one wants.
J
Ooh I'll take if you're offering. As many one-shots as you care to record. Kicks, snares, hats, synthesised sounds of dying kittens, owt you've got! It all bloats the collection and keeps Battery2 alive and well. Much appreciated. Don't ask much do ya! I'll see what I can do. J

Jo you are a man of exquisite taste! Unfortunately I thought I'd wait until Christmas was over to see how much I could spend on new kit, and by then the price had risen to £550. A 25% increase is not my idea of January sales! I see its down to £495 now so things must be getting better. Blimey, I didn't realise things had gotten quite that expensive. Yeah bide your time methinks. Hopefully it'll come back down some more. thafe.

Hey man, no probs. I like listening..... About that synth part, I just meant some movement really, so it evolves throughout the track. I know its not a huge part of the track but its the little things that can be easily forgotten. Maybe layer it with something else, get another waveform in there or even take it out in parts of the track, that way it won't get dull. Just keep Fiddling!! My tracks are here. www.myspace.com/jobodymusicJ

All sounding good. I have listened on my monitors and my Beyers which go down to 15hz.
Very clean, reminds me of old Jonny L tracks from back in the day. Also better than most Drum I have heard in a while.
What I don't like is the synth/higher part layered over the top of the bass. It is a bit lifeless and starts to get tiring for me, bit of panning or LFO now and again maybe.

I had this and so rang up apple, quoted the serial number etc, and they sent me a new battery as mine was from a dodgy batch of batteries.
My MBP was over 2 years old.
Result.
It's worth a go.

The sheer size of it makes it a nightmare to fit in your setup.
I had one for a few days and took it back cos it was poop.
Then for less money i managed to get a waldorf microwave XT in black which apparently is one of only 900 black ones. Its the best thing i ever bought.
