they make you take a shit job and then leave of of your own volition because you can't stand it anymore
seems a bit short-sighted seeing that you've just bought a house and have a baby. #justsayin

yeeew, if you're hitting the coast for a bit of surfing, head over to the village of Tagazout (north of agadir). you can rent a board for about £8 for a day and then head over to anchor point - world famous beach break

At one high school, foreign students raised a Middle East flag on a school flag pole. British students took it down. Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down.
West London high school students were sent home, because they wore T-shirts with the Union Jack flag printed on them.
1) Middle East flag lol 2) I hope you said to them "Sources or STFU" Noodlay i'm confused... is this guy a yank? 'cops' 'high school' 'social security'

Damp comes in 3 flavours
Coming up - fucked/missing damp proof course, this is bad, timbers likely to be fucked Coming down - fucked flashing/guttering/tiles/roof, this is relatively easy to fix as long as the roof isnt shot Condensation - inadequate ventilation -is the whole wall wet? Is it in a bathroom/kitchen? Do you dry clothes in there?.
Obviously it easier to fix some flashing/guttering problem than install a new damp proof course, even a chemical one.
Where is the damp?
In hallway and dining room it's coming down. We had it done and re-plastered three years ago, and the builder then (said Jason) said he'd fixed the guttering and removed the plants that had cracked it. He had not and the new plaster is now damp again. Back bedroom... hard to say, it could be down or through, might be outside wall or from above. I don't live in the property, has been rented so I haven't seen the progression. To fix the source of the problem would be a right bugger for access though. As I'm trying to sell it I want to do as little work as possible. It may be a case of just lowering the house and selling it 'with a project'. If you are selling then just bodge the fuck out of it - as long as it looks ok dont worry about fixing the actual cause. Just sand it all back, paint some sealer type stuff over it (something like http://www.polycell.co.uk/products/polycell_3_in_1_problem_wall_primer.jsp), then paint over the top. Thats what we did when selling our old house anyway, that worked just fine . It will probably look alright until the end of the Summer, hopefully you will be shot of it by then and it will be someone elses problem.

Cheers guys. It's not bathroom actually, it's some damp, but the house is on the market so I need to know if it's stuff I could do quickly and cheaply or if it's a case of lowering the house price for a sale where's the damp coming from? we had some on our ceiling and found out it was 2 cracked tiles causing the problem

my site sells pretty cheap! (stack high, sell low) If a jumper for £85 is cheap then my future self is turning in his grave thinking about what the RRP must be like. my future self is dancing on the grave in the £85 jumper

About to buy one of these bad boys. Bit big, but the way the Arabs drive, a tank is about the only thing we'll feel safe in! And for £2,000, and £6 to fill her up, you can't grumble that's a Dodge Durango, right? Yep. Don't tell me it's shit, I don't care, as long as it protects me from the fucking nut jobs in their cars, I'm happy nah, that's an awesome ride - much bigger than you expect it to be! (looks a bit like a 4-runner tho?)

Berlin tomorrow. Woo!
Must buy a tumble dryer - using heating to dry clothes is making this flat sweaty as fuck.
Use the laundrette. Open your windows. Do not think that having the heating on in the whole house/flat with the windows open is a far more expensive option than putting the whole lot of clothes in the tumble dryer at a laundrette for a couple of quid. I would imagine it is probably a bit greener too. All inclusive. Also, my windows are like guillotines - the ones I can open. all inclusive? do you get free food and drink?

You think seeing the lives and futures of millions of hard working people go down the toilet is humorous do you bongo? That's a really sad attitude to have. Especially for a region and people that have presumably provided you with so much.
deep dude... this is totally the end of the british empire if people are spending money on fuel... (sales of unleaded are up 175% this week .... great news for the refineries!

but it was pretty fucking soul destroying to have to try and convince half mental old ladies that they needed new UPVC windows when there really wasn't anything wrong with the ones they had...
I wouldn't call that soul destroying, more immoral. i'd call it sales...

probably the worse job i had was doing door to door double glazing sales in the rough end of Portsmouth. most houses were council houses, so the people couldn't authorise having new windows anyway and it was 100% commission only, so you could easily spend 10 hours in a week walking around in the cold getting repeatedly threatened and told to fuck off and not earn a penny! remarkably stuck this out for 4 months before ditching it for a comparatively amazing job - getting up at 5am on a friday in the winter as a bin man!
why didn't you just target another area and make more sales?
