No worries Is it fair to try and moderate the group to some extent? i.e. if someone floods the group (and I'm not saying anyone has) then tracks will be limited? Just in the fairness of things... It might be an idea to moderate who can post so the group doesn't get spammed with non hijackians*. Would be good to start off with a little faith in people not to abuse it *(Hijackians? Hijackalites? Pre-Hijackalites?)

When I lived in London my best mates house had become the number one toilet for all the local cats. He dealt with it by covering the entire garden with extra hot chilli powder. It worked for a while. I'm not sure if dogs share the same crapping technique, I believe they prefer an elevated poo but I'm no expert

It needs to be quite grimy
Montpelier, obv. no where to sketchy
Oh, no, perhaps not. Stick near the Organic Health Food shop, or the Italian deli, or even Bell's Diner, and I'm sure you'll be fine, I think Wednesday is your best day for avoiding drive-by shootings and crack deals

Do you need the latest OS for find my mac? I'm staying put with Leopard, see.
I don't know about that, in the apple shop it only seemed to matter that u had iCloud setup, which I didn't. The thing with that is it only works if they've got it on when you check so still a long shot. On a slightly different matter, would home contents insurance cover for leaving your most prized asset in the back of a taxi? Is there a "live performers" type insurance that would be better? I was thinking whilst djing on Friday that if one of these party goers comes any closer whilst slopping their beverages about I'd need insurance

I am indeed a silly sausage. The only pc I would get would be a desktop so you're right, it wouldn't have happened. It was a blue taxi that I waved down and didn't get the number plate ( I've contacted the council but no joy there) I may have a picture of it but it's a plain silver MacBook pro. The saving starts now.

... And I'm desperately trying to cover all bases. I've contacted the cops, filed lost property report, contacted the council, spoken to apple, set up ad on gumtree. Is there anything else I should try? Should I be checking out eBay? Is there a clever bit of IT that can help? Answers on a postcard but on this thread would better. Thanks

Did you get a decent projector in the end? I spotted this thread a little while ago and I'm now in the market for a cheap projector. I've read so many different forum posts where they bang on about £3K projectors as good value but I'm budgeting around the £200 mark. If anyone can point me in the right direction (what the min requirement should be, is ebay worth doing?) I'd really appreciate it. we've got a pretty small flat with crap blinds so don't have great "light control". Ta

Hayes got to take the fight to Klitschko. Saw a good program on sky the other day with Ricky Hatton showing what he would do. If Haye can own the middle of the ring he'll nail it. If Klitschko holds the middle ground he'll keep Haye off with his jab and not take any risks and win on points... apparently K has a weak chin but very few can get near it
Does anyone know if there are pubs near st Pauls likely to show the fight and what time the actual fight starts?

You've gotta pay for new music from bands on independant labels; an album on mp3/WAV is what?... £6 tops? The top end of the industry may well be filled with self obsessed pricks but to sight those guys as a reason to not support artists trying to create something is simply a way of massaging a guilty conscience.

I think you guys just confirmed why we need a spot like this here in Cardiff. There are so many good, friendly people here plus plenty of talent with acts like CRST, Darkhouse Family, Monky and of course High Contrast, etc all gaining wider recognition, however the council are rather behind and proud of their Stag / Hen status. Luckily places such as Cardiff Arts, Gwdihw and Buffalo are away from St Mary's Street on the other end of the town plus if you navigate correctly you can get to Clwb Ifor Bach safely and never have to go near St Mary Street and all the toruble again. I'm out a few nights a week and can honestly say that in the past couple of years I have seen less than a handful of fights. Compared to a handful a night about 5 years ago. It's not Bristol and never will be but it has plenty of plus points and some of the best nights out I've ever had have been here. Some of those have been at CAI already so hopefully there's many more to come.
bigLOVE,
Kaptin
Well said. It does seem to be changing but the music scene is still pretty dire; I suppose it's half the size of Bristol, though. When have you got Mt Kimbie playing? They were incredible at Bestival

Hello, my name is Tom- This is the first forum I've got involved with so I might need a bit of help getting things like the animated footers setup, The aliens/ Pendulum one at the top of this page is class; how do you do that? (fair point too)
I'm 23, DJ- strictly bedroom at the moment but I've played out and about under various psudenims over the last 3-4 years playing regularaly in Cardiff/ Oxford and London. I've traditionally been DnB/ Dubstep but since investing in a set of CDJ's I've found I'm far less restricted in what I buy, as long as its Bass heavy and has a nice industrial sound I'm happy.
I moved to Bristol December 07, I work alone and my mates here aren't really into decent music so I've joined this in an attempt to get more involved in the Bristol underground scene, hear what other DJ's are doing with their sets and see what you producers are creating.
Also, if anyone has enough time- would some one translate all the "IMO, TBH" stuff that goes on here. I feel like I'm fuckin 40
