Not sure if you're right about that guy, since Turkey have started EU entry talks, pushed in by Tony Blair who has speeded up their entry negotiations.  The point is that the EU will have an entirely Islamic nation in the economic group - this will really benefit the EU in terms of their relationship with the Islamic world, whatever that is.  Teh Islamic nations don't generally get on amazingly well adn they are interested in tehir benefits to tehir own country and borders and allies.  I think that they only grudginly stick up for each other when an anti-Isalmic card gets played.  Anyway I think that the allegiances between Europe and within Islamic countries are going to be the one thing that changes.

But how quickly will that happen?  Not many eu member states are happy about tehm coming in, even more so with the increases weve just seen.  I think a lot will happen in the middle east in the mean time  and it is a bit of a fallacy us trying to predict it.  Point taken tho   

The US said yesterday it will not deal with Hamas, and they do not plan to move on that.  I didnt tghink hamas had a majority so they will be part of a coalition or democracy like ours.?

I can see real change within our lifetimes, China will stand up to America and thwe next century will be theirs.  The middle east will change shape with even greter divide between them and the west.  And i can see the UK slipping down the economic league tables.
