Funnily enough one of my best mates used to do visuals for Clubnights when he was at Uni and he butchered Baraka to death for those every single week!.
Not surprised, it's a goldmine of material, plus I guess bits of it would be wicked for beat sync'd visuals...

Personal favourite part of Baraka. I find it works with any soundtrack too, and is great to have on whilst pottering around... Depends on the night before though as to whether it solves the next day, some parts of it are a bit freaky!!!

I've been very happy with my alesis 16 channel jobby. It's from a discontinued line but in terms of quality it's never caused me any issue and is built well, yet affordable. Maybe worth seeing what people think of their newer models! EDIT: It would have fulfilled your criteria

Have just started setting up a website / web application business. Current sites on the roster are www.bristolwateraid.org - Simple informative site www.bioethics.org.uk - Bespoke CMS system (they manage all content on the site themselves) Got two others on the go (including my own company site) but definitely interested in getting involved. Integration with the social networking sites wouldn't be a problem, would you be looking for much else on the site feature wise? Feel free to PM me for more details.

Good idea, will check through some agencies see what they're saying, would like something regular to be totally honest, so that I can get involved with it over the long term. Trying to avoid being without a job at the moment though, it certainly wouldn't help my studies having to look for work (though it would be nice to have some time off)!!! Thanks bloke

General / The Forum / After a new challenge, in Bristol!

Hello all, Just after some advice if anyone can indulge. I've been working as a programmer for the last few years, home based for the last one. Due to disliking the home based working and also needing to get back into a job that facilitates working with people face to face, I am looking for something in the Bristol area. This is also to facilitate not looking at a computer screen ALL of the time as a result of that being something that I do for OU studies, of which I am entering my last year and have to be able to stand looking at a computer for!!! I'm having trouble figuring out good places to go to find morally sound work however, I'd like to be involved with helping people / communities / environmental concerns, though anything that is ethically sound would be good. I know it is a long shot but as I just started trawling the internet for jobs I figured it couldn't hurt to find out what I can from the people here, since you're likely mostly Bristol based and in touch with the goings on. I'll look back at this post periodically so if I'm not hot on the instantaneous replies it's just as I am unable... Peace and thanks J

Hey hey! A little request for some help from anyone on Hijack who also uses dubstepforum.com. Basically I set up an account a while back and it is closed, saying I should contact an admin, but there is no email / way to do so!?!! I fancied looking about on there but I'd like to do so with my named account, so if anyone on here knows or can find out easily who to email to sort it out can you let me know? Peace

I don't rate those over complex Nokias man, they're slow and the flip thing opens up in your pocket all the time. The flip is just another thing to break imo, any flip phone I've had, that has been the thing that has fucked it.
they also offered me the 5800 or any similar phone for free too. Any suggestions? Looks like a fake iPhone, and will prob be all slow and that still. I'd do what tko said, if you like the iPhone that is i got a 5800 xm, i loves it. mainly for the music player, speakers actually pretty bonzer, def loud enough and bassy enough to not sound like a phone. it's pretty responsive, my only real qualm is the tilt screen thing is too sensitive. all in all though its bo and does interweb and all the usual trickery well. screen is crystal clear and the touch response is pinpoint. and a major plus it that it lets me phone people too EDIT: its plod here, signed in on my mate's lappy again..
