1308  General / The Forum / Re: TV licence on: July 07, 2009, 13:45:43
We have had people come to our house twice in the last year to ask why we haven't got a licence. We haven't got a telly so it's not a problem, bit annoying that they won't believe us and leave us alone though.
1309  General / The Forum / Re: so fellow jackers, i is fuckin off on: July 07, 2009, 13:43:28

He was parked facing me on the left side of the road, behind a big van. He couldn't see round it. Still, he should have gotten someone to help him out if he couldn't see.
On the plus side he dropped a hundred quid round for me to buy a new bike with this morning Cheesy
1317  General / The Forum / Re: I got run over yesterday... on: June 09, 2009, 11:22:32
I really think as a cyclist & a driver more care needs to be take with both parties. Cyclist think they can squeeze through any small gap and have a tendancy of shooting out on to roads & jumping red lights. They need to take much more care as they're much more vulnerable.

That's true, but accidents can happen even when neither party is doing anything wrong. I was cycling past scoopaway & this guy was pulling out of a parking space & couldn't see me coming (it's not that he wasn't looking). Even careful cyclists are vulnerable.
1318  General / The Forum / Re: I got run over yesterday... on: June 09, 2009, 10:37:47
were you running a red light?
Roll Eyes No I was not.
But yeah, I'm fine ta, just a litte bruise on my knee, I'm sure I'll survive.

I was cycling down G. road yesterday & got knocked off my bike Oh my! That's so funny, but EEEEEEEEEEEK!
Luckily I wasn't hurt, but my bike is buggered Cry
There's no way the driver or me could have prevented it, made me realise how easy it could be to get squished (or flatten someone) even when you've got your wits about you & are being safe. So please strap your helmets on cyclists cause it could have happened to anyone!

1345  General / The Forum / Re: Tell me an interesting fact about yourself on: February 20, 2009, 19:09:55
The reason they increased the smear age to 25 is because doing the test in women below that age didn't show any statistical benefit in preventing cervical cancer/catching it early, and because doing a smear test can be associated with complications in giving birth later in life, so they decided that since there was no benefit there was no point in risking harm. IMO they should tell women the risk & let themselves decide, apparently we're too stupid for that...

1348  General / The Forum / Re: 13 year old dad on: February 14, 2009, 20:06:30
Surely you need to have reached puberty to be able to reproduce. 4 foot tall & voice still to break? Perhaps he should consider an DNA test?  Smashed

gotta agree with this, its probably her dads or someone abusing her and she's using the kid as cover. bet he just fingered her so thinks he's the father kids are fuckin stupid!
Boys are fertile waaaay younger than girls, even when they still look prepubescent. Apparently it's an evolutionary thing so that they can sneakily spread their seed (Perv, mmmhmmm, yummy *rubs hands*) while they're young but not be percieved as a threat by older dominant males.
