scooting round the office without getting off your chair is like a dog with worms trying to scratch its ring

I saw a dog in Madagascar that was scraping its arse along the floor, thought to myself, eurgh he's probably got worms, then he stood up and there was a big white worm dangling out of his bumhole Puke

33  General / The Forum / Re: Ocular migraine on: June 28, 2012, 09:02:58
I would encourage anyone to either see their optician or their doctor.

I did see a doctor. They gave me triptins. The next time I had the visions thing I took them. 20 minutes later the pills sent my heart rate through the roof. It was horrible. Chucked 'em away and stuck to migraleave As for options - I don't trust them. The person that tests your eyes shouldn't be the person that sells the glasses.. A first it was unsettling but now, as OP eludes to, it's just an inconvenience.

Migraleve is a triptan you wally Tongue
34  General / The Forum / Re: Ocular migraine on: June 27, 2012, 15:12:04
Yes. There is nothing that can stop an ocular migraine. I can totally relate to that picture though.  But for me it seldom develops into the full headache.

Migraleave Pink tablets are the only ones that help me. But they don't stop the visuals but the drugs in them act as a sedative that makes the experience much easier to bear, it takes the edge off. It's not just that it's a pain killer or sedative - Cocodomol for example is a stronger painkiller doesn't seem to have the same effect as pink migraleave.

http://www.hijackbristol.co.uk/board/the-forum/migraines/

I've found drinking coffee on an empty stomach in the morning is almost a gaurente to set one off. But they can happen at any time. I just blink as normal and then suddenly the first dot appears. As soon as it happens I know i'm on for one.

It's not a sedative, it reduces the blood flow in your brainbox. That's why it works better than normal painkillers cause migraines are to do with blood flow.

If they don't come out by themselves your body will break them down over time. If it gets sore/red/swollen/oozes yellow or green gunk go back to your GP.

Thanks Kitty for being the sole shining light of moderately useful response!
They have been swollen, red and sore since they appeared, but i think they are getting very slowly less so, but so slowly i cant tell if im just imagining it...

Badoomtish...
If they're getting better rather than worse (slowly is fine) then don't worry. If they start getting worse it's definitely AIDS Bad Teeth

Oh, also this guy: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stash-of-Bikes/172155306167485 is a genius when it comes to bikes - he can fix anything and will do it cheaper than shops. He's very honest and a lovely chap! He may well be a good person to point you in the direction of a decent second hand bike.
