Good luck with this, but you may want to rethink your name. There is already a fairly famous techno producer called Perc.

Its amusing because none of them have actually engaged with what Nadoone said. Just picked on certain aspects of what she has said, (deliberately?) misconstrued them and used them as an excuse to attack her.
6  General / The Forum / Re: The Artisan Quarter of Bristol on: April 10, 2011, 12:17:38
Oh and to the person above who was doing the boring old 'I'm working class, you middle-class people don't know anything routine' do fuck off, class has got nothing what-so-ever to do with whether someone is a twat or not. I think Stokes Croft has a lovely mix of people from all sorts of backgrounds. I was sat in the canteen on Friday night, met two lovely guys in their fifties who had come over from Gloucester who were into their Northern Soul and a couple of students in their first year, who were telling me how they thought Bristol was.

 Laughing Laugh Laughing Laugh Laughing

Yeah, the Canteen is well known for the socio-economic mix of its clientele. I love how patronising the second sentence is too. Old people! And students! Drinking in the same venue? Radical! Where else in the world could such an occurance ever take place?

on a side note one thing that really bugs me (which it petty, compared with the million other reason's for disliking the bnp i have) ive noticed with all the bnp media stuff (eg tv campaigns, adverts, brochures etc) is that it all likes it was made in the 90's! even that advert up there... looks like it was made 20 years ago... just looks like a proper ameture attempt at some sort of design, and most their other stuff has... even the party political broadcasts looked like the people in the foreign language books at school! I'm just saying if you're gonna deliberately ignore primary evidence then, well, wtf?

What primary evidence am I ignoring? The only part I have commented on is the section that I actually watched.
20  General / The Forum / Re: Wikileaks releases video of Apache shooting Reuters staff on: April 06, 2010, 12:52:12
Watched the beginning of the footage and then stopped as didn't want to see what happened next. Though it is unclear from first sight what the journalists are carrying they do not look like weaponry. They are definitely not AK-47s like the halfwit asking permission to kill claims.

Qaulified to comment much? At one point prior to the shooting the driver is carrying a camera tripod that from chopper distance could be mistaken for a rifle. I'm not condoning it I'm just saying if you wanna join in with your little opinions maybe you should watch the evidence you numpty.

So I have to watch the whole thing and see innocent people gunned down just to comment on something that occurs within the first couple of minutes? I watched up till the bit where they had been given permission to kill because the person in the chopper says he's seen two AK-47s and a RPG. As I said this is clearly not the case. Will watching the rest change my opinion of those first minutes?
21  General / The Forum / Re: Wikileaks releases video of Apache shooting Reuters staff on: April 06, 2010, 12:38:31

And christ Soash. It must be wonderful living in the simple world you do were all opinions are made for you by other people so you don't have to trouble your brain too much. So basically journalists shouldn't investigate war because they get in the way while war crimes, military blunders etc are occuring, and we don't need to know about these things until after the war has ended?

25  General / The Forum / Re: Homosexuals 1 - 0 David Cameron on: March 28, 2010, 15:11:27
He becomes a babbling idiot and contradicts himself, then realises this and flusters and asks to start the interview again. I'd say thats pretty much "losing the plot". And you're prob right about other politicians fucking up filmed interviews. Cameron is however a future PM, which is a significant difference. This interview is a Dubya Bush level screw up.

CGI seems to date incredibly quickly. I feel there is no comparison between it and the special fx that were used in the past eg models, squabs and the genius-on-a-budget displayed by the guys who worked on 80's horror flicks and the like.
28  General / The Forum / Re: walking out of a gig on: March 27, 2010, 01:03:51
Lol at this bump.

I have next to no interest in what goes on in Bristol club wise any more. I barely know any of the local djs here and only a few of the promoters, and then its only because they're my friends. I have therefore only ever met Ros when she has played at a friends night or at Chemical. Each time I have always found her to be friendly, humble, enthusiastic and attitude free. Its therefore much easier to believe her story than your third person one Waaat. Especially when your whole attitude (and your venue as you are acting as spokesman) reeks of the lame upper middle-class guilt lackadaisical "will this do?" unprofessionalism that is endemic within certain aspects of this cities "underground."

is it not possible to hang some kind of curtains from the roof of the main room to effectively lower the ceiling

I don't think thats allowed due to it being a health and safety issue ie it accidentally catching alight and a flaming curtain falling on a room full of people. Could be wrong though.

32  General / The Forum / Re: nintendo wii classic games mario on: February 25, 2010, 13:33:10
For the NES Mario games and Sonic you should be able to just use the Wiimote. NES controllers only had two buttons (and start and select) and Sonic only used one for jump.

As for saving the original Mario's didn't have save spots. I don't think Super Mario Bros. 3 did either. That didn't start till Super Mario World on the SNES. Clicking Home and returning to the Main Menu should work though as a quick save.

Man alive I don't recall ever seeing any trouble on Curtain Road when I worked there. Compared to the drinking establishments in Peckham Shoreditch/Hoxton is basically a child's soft play area. I don't get wanting to shut any of it down.  Undecided

I'm sure it being a prime piece of real estate has absolutely nothing to do with the polices action. NERD ALERT!
34  General / The Forum / Re: Keep Plastic People Alive on: February 23, 2010, 19:21:41
Indeed. I wish more clubs followed their example. Invest in a top notch well engineered system that's been designed specificly for the venue, disregard lighting/expensive decor + furniture. Simple.

Bowies method of writng some of his songs...cutting up text on small bits of paper and tossing them in the air and picking words up randomly was invented by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Bowie has credited that to Burroughs and his use of "cut-ups", though old Bill appeared on the front of Sgt Pepper and was living in London at that time so Lennon and McCartney probably got the idea from him.
42  General / The Forum / Re: David Bowie on: February 16, 2010, 19:48:24

43  General / The Forum / Re: David Bowie on: February 16, 2010, 19:44:29
It cracks me up when folk talk about manufactured music, then put the Beatles forward as musical heroes.

You need to do some more research. The Beatles were not manufactured in the modern sense. Tidied up a bit for mainstream consumption maybe, but not manufactured. There was a wit and intelligence there as well thats obvious from their tv interviews of the time.
44  General / The Forum / Re: David Bowie on: February 16, 2010, 18:16:56

Bowie in the 70's was pretty fantastic. Never had much interest in Dylan. Beatles were fine. Bit patchy but a lot of gems. Though I prefer Yoko Ono with Lennon than him solo. A fair bit of Paul McCartney's solo stuff is underrated too if you skip the schmaltz.
