I am doing a Friday at Thekla on July 21st. Gonna be drum n bass... Just a question as to any plans Jungle FX, Peguin Dance, Signal, Phixation etc (a whole new generation of dnb promoters!) may have for this date. I'm planning a very big name so just dont want us to clash. I would just ring round you all but I'm so out of touch with the promoting scene now I dont even have a lot of your numbers!
Nice one.
Ed Timecode
We (Penguin Dance) aren't doing anything then.

Go to Laos!!!!
I did Thailand - Cambodia - Vietnam - Laos over about 3 months, Laos was the most "real" by far - the locals were absolutely lovely!!!!!
Temples of Ankor were a highlight Tho, that place is amazing!!!!
Had an opportunity to blow up a Cow with a Bazooka in Phnom Phen... I passed.
Go to Laos!! I've been to thailand twice and not made it there either time but every traveller will tell you its amazing! I'm definately goin this summer and i can't wait! When you're in Thailand you need to go to the north and go trekking for sure but make sure you go to the islands because they are amazing!! Definately go to Phi Phi and spend some money to help rebuild after the Tsunami cos its such a cool Island with lots of wicked people (and quite a few self-rightious yanks who bang on about how much they've helped all the time). Plus Ko phangan for full moon (has to be done) and some wicked, pretty deserted places in the north of the island. AVOID samui it is rubbish!! Have a good time and maybe we will cross paths at some point!!

Calibre EP on Signature (again not sure when its out) Breakage-Blue Mountain (Critical 021) Equinox-The Phantoms Senses (Subtle Audio 002)
On a bit more of a lively liquid tip: Jenna G EP on Bingo (not sure who the producers are or when its out but has in love on it) Cyantific and Logistics- Flashback (Hospital) Hospitalised EP- VA (Hospital) absolutely amazing, every track is wicked!! Total Science- New 12 with gridlock rmx of squash on it, has a wicked bouncy tune on the other side. London Electricity-Remember the future/Out of this world (Dkay rmx) all about this one!
Thats the best of the current liquid (imo) but theres so much more if you like it darkside.......

Its by far the worst comedown I've ever had! Made me go crazy and so angry/anxious/turn into an absolute cnut, even though I was in Oz having the time of my life, living by the beach with nothing to do except enjoy myself! Such a good high, but also the lowest I've ever been.

I smoked loads of crystal meth when I went to Oz a couple years ago. I stayed with my cousin and him and his mates used to all do the usual drugs but started smokin meth a lot when I started going out ravin with them. When I came back a few months later, quite a few had obvious addictions and one was using smack to come down in the evening!! . It is an amazing drug and makes you really charged up bit with euphoric feelings as well but is horribly addictive. The first time I smoked it, my next thought was "I want another one"
It is horrible stuff because its so easy to get addicted and I'm really, really glad I can't find it in Bristol.

I don't know bout anyone else but I was gutted last night...I payed £11 to see these guys and was very disappointed!
They are all very talented musicians and started off really well with housey beats and the occasional foray into breaks but they never really got going properly. It was like they stopped halfway through their set because they built it up for ages and just started to do a bit of faster stuff and a bit of dnb and then just stopped. The crowd were absolutely loving it and they simply stopped and walked off stage, no encore, nothing.
Maybe I was expecting too much but with all the good press i just couldn't miss them! I should have gone to see Doc Scott and Break!
Oh and whoever told me the crowd would be mostly over 30 was very right I thought they were absolutley awsome and 500 other people seemed to agree. They played for an hour and a half - you cant play that kind of music for any longer than that without knackering yourself out completely... They did as much as they could and then DJd til 3am. They loved it and said the crowd was the best they'd played to in ages and are very keen to come back to Thekla soon. Overall i thought it was wicked - the only complaint would be that it was too busy, but that aint no bad thing as the atmosphere was great. And it wasnt an over 30s crowd - not that that would be a bad thing - but was a very mixed crowd. Lots of people that go to gigs, clubbers, and all sorts of other people. Was a wicked crowd imo. Id rather be around people like that than a bunch of c*nts at a chaved out drum n bass night that fo sho. The Bays rocked it, spree, i can only assume you missed the point a bit. Peace Harry Ok maybe I wasn't actually very disappointed because I enjoyed what they did but as I said before, it just kinda stopped. I'm impressed that you booked them because it was different to the normal Rukus nights that I have been to. I can safely say I didn't miss the point at all because the point was the show is never the same twice but from all the reviews, quotes and from their website I expected more!! The crowd comment was a joke because someone said to me it would be an older crowd, which it was, I wasn't complaining! As for the chavvy comment, well I don't need to say anything, GCD did it for me. Safe Spree

Some dodgy cunt tried to sell me a mountain bike last night when i was walking back home by the croft. I didn't even look at it because it was across the road and I thought he was gonna try to rob me but it did look like it was grey.
The guy said he needed electricity money and said I could have it for £6. Needless to say I kept walking.
He was a black guy about 30 and about 6 foot tall with a london accent and I think he was wearing a suit but I was pretty pissed.
Hope some of this information is helpful if it was your bike.
