Genuinely baffled at the idea that someone could fake all of this but couldn't get hold of a fucking litre of pig blood from the butchers?

What you don't seem to realise in your rush to assume everyone is talking about somekind of ownership is that most fathers care very deeply about what happens to their daughters and another man should understand this and go some way to show the father that he is a worthy partner for that mans daughter..what happened in the past and still goes on now regarding dowry's and some peoples ideas that they should profit from the wedding of their daughter should not get in the way of what the OP id really asking here..and as a father of three girls i understand what he is saying and respect where he is coming from..
This basically what I am getting at @Pippin: You are making some valid points, but I don't agree with your suggestion that a mother-daugher or father-son relationship is the same as a father-daugher relationship. That's not to say that they are any less deep. They are just different things and to treat them differently doesn't imply some backward-thinking character flaw. Maybe they would be if people didn't defend their sexism with "but that's just how things are" and changed their behaviour instead? (Don't tell me it's not sexism when it's quite deliberately treating people differently because of their gender)

I dunno, I think it's a bit too patriarchal; I mean obviously you're going to ask her as well, but it's a throw back to a time when you wouldn't have. If he said no, would you ask her anyway?

I have done it once, it was OK apart from the fact I spent most of the time on the toilet with the shits as the syrup was also full of sorbitol, label reading fail.
I've made the exact same mistake if that makes you feel any better

So as I understand it, this will mean in future the nhs subcontracting out to private companies to help ease the workload?
Where will they get the extra money from?
The government line is that private companies will be able to provide the services for cheaper than having the NHS do it themselves, AND make the 20% profit they need for their shareholders, and that this will both save money and improve the quality of care, because nothing improves standards like giving out massive contracts to companies with no real incentive to perform beyond the absolute minimum they are contractually applied to, if that.

Vote tory, get fucked
NHS privatization was started by Tony Blair and Labour Government. Tories are just continuing the project. I'm no labour supporter, trust me, but to make out the current attempts aren't an order of magnitude worse is disingenuous.

I've still yet to venture beyond the boundary to the exchange, how is it? cuz reports make it sound like a proper hell hole; plus a venue built on top of a graveyard for homosexuals sounds rather frightening.
u wot? The exchange is great anyway, good vibes and good size for nights that aren't going to fill bigger venues but still want to feel full

the other students in the university said they seemed pretty chilled. the older one dressed stylishly had a nice car etc. they don't seem to fit the profile of your average radical or jihadist.
What profile are you working on here? There has been all sorts. Plus they weren't "jihadists" in the 9/11 sense, they didn't try to blow themselves up. Already tells you they're going to be a different kind of something.

The end justifies the means I'm sure "they" would have no qualms in sacrificing a few pawns if it was a chess game that they thought was worth it. You think they give a shit about collateral damage? Weird how they first said it was a Saudi national, then it was Mike Mulugeta and Sunil Tripathi, and now Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.I heard people are being arrested for going outside their house in Boston, whole place is on lock-down/martial-law How is that weird? Who do you mean by "they"? The authorities didn't accuse the Saudi, he went in for questioning and a bunch of racist media assumed he was a suspect.

a) large numbers of people online make wild guesses
b) a couple are obviously right, as there's thousands of posts
c) screengrab the correct ones and use as proof of whatever
The website Reddit has been trying to 'crowdsolve' the case and has just gotten every fucking thing wrong so far, including accusing an innocent man and harassing his family. It ain't helpful

There's seperatists and (russian) loyalists, the latter have been heavily complicit in torture and human rights abuses, the former in terrorist attacks nasty business really

2) Bomb-squad sniffer dogs at the start and finish line of the marathon. Is this standard procedure? Yet they didn't detect anything. Bit weird.
Nothing weird about them having dogs there and nothing weird about the dogs not finding anything; sniffer dogs are nowhere near as effective as the police would like you to believe

To be an ultimate warrior, you must first retrive a master's sword from the tombs at running streams valley. Be warned though, for many before have fallen victim to its traps, and deep inside, things neither alive nor dead lurk...

I fully comprehend the ramifications of belonging to the majority in social demographic [X]. What I can't put my finger on is why the longer you listen to someone explaining it the more you want to do something unpleasant to them.
Because nobody likes coming to terms with the fact. It's not a "nice" thing to think about. Like global warming.
