English car prices are cheap for Maltese people believe it or not and they drive on the right. I have cousins who have bought cars over here and imported them to malta. Does sound dodgy tho, I don't think I would take up the offer.

What a wicked evening and what a shame that as usual some scum of the earth have to ruin things! I didnt see any trouble whilest I was down St Pauls personally. Bit of attitude here and there (MCs mainly) but I didn't feel on edge at any time. I walked past Star and Garter around 12 and didnt see anything. Big ups to the guy on the nightlife stage who was looking after the system, Toby is it? He had a bit of a difficult job and did well under the circumstances. Lets hope this trouble doesnt stop them from doing one next year, It would be such a shame to loose such a great party.
the mc's on stage during your set were fucking wack, im glad you or someone turned the mic down for most of it. It was so jokes when one of the mc's wouldnt hand the mic over and said "Bloodclot, Pussy'ole, i got weh-pon on meh" its fucking long when mc's jump up and down and make needles skip innit Hahah yeh was a bit of a joke, at one point I thought it was going to kick off! At the end of Clipz set there was some pushing and shoving and one mc got tangled up in his mic cable lol. Yeh needles were jumping all over the place a bit. Mainly due to the mcs and some girl on the corner of the stage shaking her thing vigorously. Was still good fun mixing up there tho. As I said its just a shame people have to ruin something thats supposed to be a celebration of culture.

That was wicked! Really enjoyed playing the last set downstairs(cheers Rit). Was loving the minimal techy stuff getting played in the second room! Missed a few sets that i would have like to have seen but caught a bit of Kidkuts set which was sounding bad as usual. Thanks to the organisers for a great party!

General / The Forum / Classic wedding songs?

on: July 12, 2007, 11:51:48

My sisters getting married in Malta soon and she has asked me to sort some music out for the reception. Would be nice to play a selection of cheese along with some decent stuff as well (was thinking a bit of motown, funk etc).
Anyone got any recommendations for classic wedding songs???

Nice liitle selection! Will keep it in mind when shopping. Only thing I would say is that the listening clips could do with being on the main page rather than having to go to the record info page. Prob me being simple but i nearly missed them.

This is a really nice flat with large double bedrooms for a reasonable price. Unfortunatly I had to pull out because of my financial instability at the moment but I highly recommend the property and can assure you that these two are wicked house mates and a pleasure to live with.

Spor is one of the nicest people you will meet in the DnB scene. Hes a wicked producer imo and still fairly young compared to some of the comparisons made above! Heres Lifted musics Latest pod cast hosted by Spor and Chris Renegade.

...quite fast-by the 1st July, we've got a place on St. Andrews Road, parallel to the road The Cadbury is on. So I'm not wasting anyone's time I'll let you know that the room is quite small, the rent is £215 a month, £107.50 for the first month cos we got some builders making the front room all nice and stuff. We are all very very lovely I assure you, (3 blokes and a girl). Get in touch if you fancy it I maybe looking for a place round that time. Still not 100% sure tho. It would only be until beging of september tho. You may be looking for someone more perminant than that. i need to make my mind uop in the next few days really so will keep this in mind.

I had a guy who claimed he lived on Ashley Road (I live on Old Ashley Hill...a good 5 minute walk from there with plenty of houses in between) wanting to borrow a phone book off of me. I duly gave it to him (big whoop if it goes missing innit)...he never gave it back though. He tried to come in the house but I wouldn't let him....think that could have been the con there...an opportunist thief.
Yeh you do have to wonder why anyone would let someone into their house when they don't know them. However from what I have been tyold this guy looks proper harmless and really friendly! Guess its all part of the con. @ Mensa - Bristol is a small place. If you have a good memory for faces you will see him around again!

Shit see this guy is at large!
@Pippin Drill you are lucky the curry wasn't included in the blag! This act has left my friend scared, possibly for life.
If anyone gets him knocking on the door, invite him in, give me a shout and I'll dig the whole!

Right this is possibly the meanest con i have ever heard! A good friend of mine had a random knock on the door from an Asian chap claming to the owner of the curry house near his place. He need to borrow an extention lead and in return he would give him loads of free curry. My friend obviously agreeded and went to fetch one for him. When he came back the chap said that that particular extention lead was no good and that it would blow! To cut a long story short he then strung him a few confidence tricks and managed to persaude him to lend him a £20 so he could go and buy one! All the time using the lines of free curry and how it was so good to have good neighbours. He promised to returnm the money later that day.
This guy is apparently fairly well known and uses this con regularly round Grd area! Any one that uses curry as a carrot to lure innocent hungry people deserves a swift kicking so if any of you get this guy calling beware and give me a shout. I want first swing at this nasty piece of work!
