That is such a good film - fifth gear did a piece on it a while back - apparently it was recorded with a mercedes and then the Ferrari 'soundtrack' was dubbed on afterwards. They also tried to recreate it, but Paris traffic meant it took 2 hrs instead of 8 minutes.

I've used small record shaped cardboard boxes the last two times I've moved (and I'm about to again). Not as sturdy has recycle boxes, but considering I would need to steel about 6-10 of those I'd rather try being honest!

solidly boring thread, sorry - just really need some help:
i've managed to lose my only native final cut .mov files of the last 2 films i made, i've got a DVD of them but i really need to get them onto my computer somehow- i cant seem to find any DVD rip software that actually works, its either shit software or really limited shareware. does anyone know of any good freeware stuff, or have any commercial software they could lend me *ahem*?
i'd really appreciate any help with this...
balls.
yes There's one called AutoGK which is free I think, and did a reasonable job - but took about 2 hrs to do. There's another free one I used which is also good, but can't find it right now - will keep looking. Other than that there is Magic DVD Ripper which allows you to use it about five times before the trial is over - that one had the best interface and encoding options IMO.

i went to some tower thing on a hill when i went there time ago, you could see for miles around, its in a park type thing i think but it was 10 years ago and my brain isn't that good at remembering shit like that.
I think thats only open the weekends, so be ware! Roxy club ftw tho, pretty close to the astronomical clock square area - its a converted cinema, saw Klute and Amit there when we went, large! (But sadly lacking inbass).

I've used just about every type of computer going. They all have their good points, and they all have their bad points. But at the end of the day, I'd rather be in the pub than using any of them. Sheessh.
AS400 ftw!!

They pay when you directly click through to them via the sponsor's page; at a rough rate of 20p per click.
The amount of food donated from clicking the button is thus a nominal figure derived from the estimated 'click-through' rate to a sponsor's page; a standard internet advertising procedure. My estimate is it's around 0.5p per 'feed the starving' button click
so if you were going to write a bot you would have to do it through the sponsor site. You could use the microsoft web stress tool to do it, cos it can even record the clicks you make in a browser.

The Philosophy exam one is a good un (What is bravery? "This").
Had the question been 'What is stupidity?' then they might have passed....

Man deserves an Oscar for sure.
Quite brutal in places but just very very good.. Definitely check this.
Yes, should def. win an oscar for that performance and yes its also quite brutal in places - not that its things I haven't already seen in hollywood stuff, but because its so raw it feels very real.

I then said "honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"
Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at
least that bitch knows I'm smarter than her.
thats an all time classic Bwwwaaahahahahahahhahahahaaaaa! I've seen that before but I'm still grinning like an idiot. Brilliant joke!

try putting your existing DVD players details into google, along with 'multi-region crack'...
My DVD player (£60 about four years ago) has been multi region'd with a few presses of the remote..

General / The Forum / Re: Split With My Girlfriend
|
on: October 06, 2006, 14:14:25

I split with my girlfriend last night after 4 years together. It was my decision but now I dont know what feeling I got whether it's or . Thing is I have realised that we are 2 completely different people with different interests. I enjoy my sci-fi, martial art films & always on the PC d/l'ing toons, she has no real hobbies or interests except shopping on a Saturday. Thing is yes I have had some good times with her, but constant arguments outweigh the good times & I cant think of a time we have done something together which I have suggested. She was a pretty girl, looks a bit like Sophie Elis Bextor but that aside, over the years she has also put me down alot by saying stuff like:- I wear too much black, I gel my hair too much, dont like that hair style, that so called mate of yours is dodgy, etc etc. Lat wkend I stayed with her & it was just me & her as her parents were away, admitted she managed to cook a great Thai curry & I washed up afterwards, but then it was constant nagging & put this away, it dont go there, wash that up etc etc. I have been told by my colleagues & close friends, most of which are married, that this relationship was doomed from the start. My question is have I made the wrong decision here & regret it or have I made a change for the better? We both admitted the compassion as been long gone & that marriage would never work. Interested in people's views male or female & I will answer any questions, look forward to some serious advice, cheers. Although the details are different, the exact same thing has happened to me. Fucking difficult to deal with is an understatement, but every time I look to the future I feel like I'm going to be better off and thats the only thing thats keeping me sane. I guess try and stay friends, who knows whether that will happen tho.
