I saw some walking along the road near sound control at about 7:40.  I just thought they were walking their dogs.  What's the point of talking them round there or even in town?

right by the station innit!

2353  General / The Forum / Re: how much of the underground bristol clubbing population is aware of hijack? on: December 15, 2006, 11:27:22
Of my friends, the ones that use Hijack are the complete minority.

I think, more often than not, hijack is a distraction from work/boredom/having nothing better to do! A fairly enjoyable distraction, but a distraction none the less.

You're right, but of the people i know that go out raving regularly most of them use hijack.

2356  General / The Forum / Re: What is the best word ever? on: December 15, 2006, 11:14:51
cacophony

had to look this up after someones neighbour used it in a verbal complaint. how are 20 mashup 17 year olds going to know what that means?

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha good times, i reckon it's a close second to bivouac Two Thumbs
2357  General / The Forum / Re: how much of the underground bristol clubbing population is aware of hijack? on: December 15, 2006, 11:10:51
i assume that an 'underground clubber' is someone who goes to alternative type nights, although i would never refer to myself as 'underground'.
I would say that most people are at least aware of hijack even if they're not registered or ever use it. In terms of the bristol rave scene hijack is a massive presence (Flyers etc) and i haven't been to a night for a long time where at least one person hasn't said to me 'are you on hijack' In fact it got so irritating that eventually i signed up and now here i am saying it to loads of other people.... errr

Bistro La Barrique!

Excellent choice for parents - great french style tapas, excellent service and delicious good value food. It's just a bit further up from the new Somerfield garage, on the other side.

this one's also great! But they give you really small portions priced like proper ones. loads of tasty wine though.

REAAAALLLLYYYY nice italian place, not sure what it's called but it's next to the big bottoms up, it's pretty small but reasonably priced and fukcing tasty!! Simply thai is also really nice, and if you don't want to eat in as it's a bit grotty they do take away which is ace! Or P.O.W for pub food but it's pretty expensive. seriously go to the italian one though it's gooooood. Grin Tongue Cheesy
2365  General / The Forum / Re: music your embarassed about liking?? on: December 14, 2006, 17:27:03
Happy hardcore is cheesy and shit, but uplifting and fun at the same time.

Fine in small doses and the girls there ALWAYS wear tiny UV hot pants and skirts, or some kind of kinky outfit.   Eek Love Slayer

True but the blokes who they're dancing with are always in white shirts and are nice and angry. Huh I'M SO ANGRY! Undecided

2368  General / The Forum / Re: Gap year ideas. on: December 14, 2006, 16:42:55
go somewhere that you would never think about going and then go somewhere nearby. i'm doing mine next year too, i'm thinking one or two places for an extensive length of time. Israel 1st and not sure about 2nd. Think about contacts around the world, family in europe/ friends in new zealand kind of thing, then go and sponge off them untill they kick you out and move on to somewhere else. Cool
2369  General / The Forum / Re: music your embarassed about liking?? on: December 14, 2006, 16:38:54
Mr majestik by High contrast.

whats so embarassing about that ITS A GOOD TUNE.

i put that one down for like favourite tune ever.

Got to agree with solly max, there's nothing wrong with high contrast!! Don't deny your roots!!
2370  General / The Forum / Re: Wine Recommendations on: December 12, 2006, 21:08:04
it's all about hellfire bay, i think it's australian. they sell it in the flyer on the gloucster rd. but it's extortionatey priced, you can buy bottles in bottoms up/ threshers as well normally. Otherwise a cabernet sauvignot or a merlot. Also organic wines from better food/ harvest/ most organic shops is generally very tasty. Or a bit of home brew!!
(sorry about wine spellings, not my strong point)
2371  General / The Forum / Re: music your embarassed about liking?? on: December 12, 2006, 20:37:26
I don't think I'm embarrased about any of the music I like....ah actually I certainly used to be a bit partial to some Elton John (the Pinball Wizard days not any of that Candle in the wind GASH)

tiny dancer Slayer

2388  General / The Forum / Re: Christmas Eve Rituals on: December 10, 2006, 23:05:44
drinks with family, followed by drinks with friends at a house. followed by a trip to the pub, then stagger home at closing time, then try to help family get various decorations up while children are in bed whilst drinking santa's sherry with a mince pie. Then go to sleep and prepare for a horrible hungover trip to a church at 9.00 the following morning with about 20 family members.
It's the most wonderfull time of the year....
2389  General / The Forum / Re: Bashout @ The Black Swan, Saturday 9th December on: December 10, 2006, 22:57:39
Well, what fun,
Decided to start using my acount just to say that...... Pretty annoyed i missed Sams set but oh well, i am sure what with his signing he will play at LOADS of big nights now. This also gives me and snails a chance to work on our dance more so that we can slay all compotition in the dance-off arena.
Big up to hidden and the 3-way at the end too.
2390  General / The Forum / Re: New Members - All about you thread! on: May 02, 2006, 18:13:14
Erm, Don't really know how i found myself here to be honest. but it seems like it could be pretty usefull/ a good way to waste loads of time, so here i am. My name's Harry, i'm into DnB, breakcore, gabber, acid, dub, jazz, all sorts really, i go to a lot of nights at lakotta/black swan but venture elsewhere as well.
Oh yeah, where are all the rave pictures these days?

I don't know, i've had some really good sharks and some really shit ones. At the end of the day, if you're buying illegal drugs you're taking a risk, but i wouldn't say that 'sharks' especially are dangerous. If anything i have had some of my best gurns on them!
2393  General / The Forum / Re: New Members - All about you thread! on: April 07, 2006, 20:10:36
