117  Food for your Ears / Hijackers' Tunes and Mixes / onlyjoe - sound foundation - dub [FREE DOWNLOAD] on: December 28, 2011, 11:56:58

To bring some dub into your xmas and new year, onlyjoe decided to give away a dub version of their song Sound Foundation. Please download, share and enjoy…

They say you have to know where you're from to know where you're going and this song sonically represents the band's foundations as people, friends, individuals and a collective. One of the first songs that came out of the whole band writing together and the first with vocalist Jago, the track set the tone for all the goodness that has come out of the camp ever since.

This is the Dub version by Hylu. A little Christmas gift from us to you!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

My lineup hasnt changed that much over the last 2 years...  Maybe a couple of additions but nothing much...

136  General / The Forum / Backing up hard drive.... HELP!!!!!!!! on: November 30, 2011, 06:25:07
My hard drive has started making a noise like someone's digging up the M4 inside it.... Everything i can find online suggests that this is the end. It is not even registering on my PC any more, except for making the noise when you first plug a USB in... When i plug it in to my mac it wont come up on the desktop but it is appearing in disk utilities, i'm trying my best to create an image of the disk, but it's not really working (this may be because there's not much room on the computer) is this the only hope for me?? I don't really want to buy a new hard drive as i'm pretty sure this one is covered by warrantee and i'm skint... Hoping i can just recover the data, and then send this off for the cunts to replace.

Please help me!!!

143  General / The Forum / Re: Moving to London on: November 17, 2011, 23:21:01
I moved from the west country to London just over four years ago - greatest city in the world, came here as a tea boy and a year later I'm scoring films in Abbey Road...fuck yeah.

My main advice would be to walk as much as possible, I'm fairly central (just off Shoreditch High Street) and quit cars/public transport years ago - had a lovely walk to BBC Maida Vale Studios & back for a recording last night, well over ten miles but saw loads of cool stuff I would have missed out on stuck in some stinking taxi.  If you can live somewhere good within a few miles of your work defo do it so you can walk, will be really good for you mentally, physically & financially, and for short journeys save you time.

I personally avoid South London at all costs as come over in a horrid rash whenever I veer south of the river Puke

South london is where it's at. Initially i would recommend living somewhere which is near where you work, or easy in terms of transport! There is loads of fun to be had everywhere, feel free to pm me on here if you ever want a heads up on fun stuff going on!!

MANY a night spent inside that building. Sad times indeed. As said above, Pharoah Monch with full live band was one of the greatest hip hop shows i've ever attended in Bristol! Along with the subloaded/teachings dances, the mad gener8r blue mountain-clockwork link-up, Dissident, Easy Star All Stars, Black Twang and too many more to mention. Sad time indeed.
